This is mine, don't use it a lot, but it's pretty sweet.

You can rotate it around and see all the gears and stuff going in the back. Other models seem to have images back there, but I like seeing the guts of my clocks ^.^
I can take that responsibility.

Any one have opinions on this watch?

http://www.authenticwatches.com/tag-heuer-aquaracer-wap1112-ba0831.html

I am looking to buy it and just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about it / the price.

Anyone have anything similar for cheaper?

anyone own a tag heuer?
good experience with it?

When it comes to watches, it really all comes down to preference, and how much money you are willing to spend for "name-brand".

I will tell you that Tag Heuer's are solidly built and that it is a well respected watch brand. My family has been in the watch repair business for a good 40 years now, and I've grown up around watches so, yeah.

Although if you have that much money, I suggest buying something that LOOKS cooler if you are going for looks. Oh and since it's battery run, accuracy is a nonissue.

I do have one suggestion, and that is going to a local jewelry store that holds the watch and wearing it. Watches all have a different weight and balance to them, so you might want to try it out before getting a watch that just feels uncomfortable on your arm.

Edit: And looks awkward. If the watch is too big/too small on your arm, no matter how good it looks, it will look weird. For example, I cannot wear giant pilot watches or thick diver's watches because my wrists are really thin.

Edit:2: IMO, if you are dressing to impress, this one is on the plain side. Unless you are die hard on getting Tag Heuer, get a chronograph (mulitple dials with timers and stuff).

thanks, good info there.

My wrists are also somewhat thin; I was trying to find something with a blueish face and steel band like this one that has a smaller case size but couldn't really find anything under 38mm. Have any links to watches like that which are in the 800 - 1.3k price range? the ATM rating doesn't really matter for me since I already have a couple that are in the 20 - 30 ATM range.

EDIT: I like simple, I think all the dials on the side (even 3) get kind of tacky, .... less dials, cool / slick looking face... good stuff

Classy, easy to use, and has that awesome retro look. Nothing fancy, but still love it.
Oh, get a job? Just get a job? Why don't I strap on my job helmet, squeeze down into a job cannon, and fire off into job land, where jobs grow on jobbies!

I do not mean to offend, but I think that only women's watches are that size. I think Seiko makes some men's watches that are right around the 35mm range.

none taken.. why are there not watches with half the case size out there.I just want the watch face to kind of meld into the band.. like a 25-30MM would be epic.there HAS to be some watch out there with that spec.

Challenge accepted.

What kind of watch are you watching for? Is 25mm height the only spec thats important?

edit: wait, do you mean height, or diameter?

looking for that + SS band + blue or black face + 1 dial (or 3 small dials) in the 500 - 1500 range

If you can't find it in that price range I'm willing to go 2.5K max, I haven't been able to find anything yet..

?: I can probably get a womens watch and replace the band to turn it into something more my style?

Uhm, okay.. I just looked around a bit and i struggle to find a watch above 20mm height, are you sure you dont mean diameter?

http://www.watchco.com/fossil-watches/ch2802.html

For example is 15mm in height (not the right price range etc, but im just getting started), is that sufficient?

Edit: might have found something, let me watch through that collection (and then find an english website for you^^)

wow 11 - 15 MM, not sure if that's the same stat; but yes I am looking for the actual watch case height (from the part that touches the top of your wrist up to the glass) my divers watches are 44mm, and I think even half that or 70% of that would be good looking.

That your kind of style?

15,5mm in height, steelband, black face, 3 small dials (i guess?), and in your range, merely.

Edit: i just dont know the exchange rate, the prices are all in euro.

that is near perfect, would prefer the blue face though :D

I want something very similar to this, that has a small case height; ATM rating doesn't matter
