So many nice watches in this thread (but also a lot of very ugly ones imo such as the Patek Philip at the top of the page

(or practically every other watch with all those little dials messing up the cleanness of the surface of that type of watch)). I wish I had more money to spend on them

You don't like the Patek Philippe because the surface isn't "clean", but you like that monstrosity of a mess... what? lol

The "little dials" you're talking about add layers of complexity in the mechanics of the watch that make it a mechanical engineering masterpiece.. just fyi.

I had a Tissot Seastar vintage as fuck, it was manual and you had to drag it up yourself almost like this one:

But I had brown leather watchstrap and it was awesome and I loved it, but I lost it while I was drunk, I have no idea how you drop a watch, I even remember the whole evening.

This seems to be a watch enthusiast thread instead of "post your watch" thread. I'm finding it hard to believe most of you actualy own the watch you're posting.

Like many said I just use my phone and have A watch for when I go to a fancy party but I think I might shop around for some these chic one's so I can be a fashionisto/hipster.

You can't compare it with a classic watch imo. A classic watch imo needs to be as clean looking as possible without getting to minimalistic by removing the hour markers etc. entirely. Style above a mechanical engineering masterpiece imo. The Patek is more than likely a lot more accurate but if I have to choose between cleanness that has to be synchronized once every year or a more messy looking watch that will keep time running perfectly on the millisecond for the next 1000 years I know where my heart is.

So there you have it. My double standard. And I will keep it for the foreseeable future
