Does anyone else decorate their Christmas trees in creative or interesting ways? I'm a runner so I decided to try out a running theme for my tree.

personally i am not christain, so i don't celebrate christanity, nor am i pagan, which means no christmas trees. though i was raised in a non-religious home where christmas was celebrated (like most people) We auctally had a chirstmas tree decorated with all sorts of stuff, from flintstones, to elvis. i must say that tree was something. though no pictures were ever taken of it, i remember it fondly.
nice idea for a thread too! i am auctally looking foward to seeing peoples differebnt trees

not my tree, saw Faye (from WCG Ultimate Gamer Season 2) post it on twitter and i think its awesome

Might be a good idea to spoiler your images, especially if you've got multiple!
I'm not posting pictures of my tree because it's sad and it will make you sad.

Nothing particularly special or anything but I was so proud to find such a fine tree that I feel the need to brag.

all those trees that are already set up + all those artificial lights make me sad ( though as a firefighter I can't really dislike electric "candles", it's just that don't work for me, there's just no christmas-spirit in them )

Finals...
Happy Holidays anyhow.

Aww, this is a nice thread. Post more trees, people! Christmas is only 9 days away. Doesn't feel very "holiday-y" this year
|
In Romania, the "tradition" is to make it on Xmas eve. And I'm sure it goes that way in other countries as well. So 9-days-away is about 8 days off.
|
It's 8 days left (24th december, 25th is a lie)
Also my family has the tradition to make the tree the day before Xmas Eve. Then we leave it until New Years Eve on which I carefully dismantle it with fireworks.

Except Christmas is a worldwide holiday and no one country sets the standards, being from Romania i'll forgive you though. It is very common for American's to do it the day after thanksgiving or the week after like my family if you're feeling lazy. Yay for cultural relativism!

Didn't want to go through the hassle of a tree this year, but when I went to assist my parents in getting theirs, my ladyfriend decided it was time to make..? us a tree.

Christmas oughta be recognized the whole month not just for a day. Great thread, I'm hopping in it with a picture as soon as its night time.

![[image loading]](http://www.friloux-art.com/tl/xmastree.JPG) Our apartment-sized fake tree. Doesn't smell like pine, but doesn't drop needles either

By family tradition our tree is decorated on the eve of the 23rd, so no pictures until then. Got a lot of christmassy stuff that dates back 100+ years...
Ahh, christmas traditions...

So jealous of these trees. My roommates don't want a tree. Would've been my first Christmas tree since I'm Jewish. I live with grinches. Can't even spare $25. So disappointed.

Edit: Never mind. Your post actually predates the XKCD comic. Shit, Randal Monroe probably frequents these forums.

I found some more interesting trees. Check it out.

No christmas tree for me stuck in Korea on my own. Really want to be with my family but I can't really afford to fly home just for a few days.
But I went to visit some Bangladeshi imagrent workers in Maseock earlyier and gave them some food and wished them Merry Christmas. That made me feel quite good about myself. These guys live as families in one room apartments (that look frezzing its -10 today) above the factories they work in for almost nothing. its bascially exploitation by the Koreans getting workers for thier factories for almost nothing. However things must be even worse for the bangladeshis back home or they wouldn't do it. So I don't know maybe it gives them a better life than they could have had after all. I don't know, the worlds just not fair. They have these horrible conditions because thier born in Bangladesh and I have a sweet apartment and good pay just because I can speak English, hmmm
Aghh well enough been depressed other people have it much worse than me. Merry Christmas everyone I hope thoughs of you that get the optunity to spend it with you're family make the most of it.

Lol, I hope this is sarcastic. Christmas is only religious if you want it to be, everyone can have fun enjoy themselves and see thier family regardless of religon its just a nice holiday.
