I didn't want to bring up an old, old thread started by Beyonder ( http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=9848 ), so I opened up a new one. In it, you are allowed to ask each mod a question. Since I haven't used mine with Rek, I thought this would be the best time to use it.
So here goes. To Rek: 1)Who do you think are overrated Korean gamers over there? Who do you think are underrated Korean gamers over there? I say gamers and not progamers because I think you know a lot more about no name gamers over there a lot more than we do.
Please answer my second one if you are in a good mood 2)What have surprised you the most that is SC-related that you've seen or heard in Korea? Some talented amatuer gamers that is really young? What gamers do on there spare time? A man in a Zergling suit?

It's great, I love making people smile, I'm a person that smiles a lot!. It's in many cases also my way of communicating (socialising!) both on- and offline.

1. I'd answer this if I could. I have my practice partners from the team and off the team. That doesn't mean I'm gaming with every unknown korean there is. I haven't really been around long enough to answer this question properly.
2. Hmmm a couple weeks ago I was coming home from some place by myself and the taxi cab driver could kinda speak english. He asked me where I was from, I said USA. He asked me if I was a student I said no. He asked me "why Korea?" and I said "gamer." Then he was all like "ahhhhh starcraft? u zerg?" i was like "no me protoss" then he got all excited again and was like "ohh me protoss!!!!!" Then he took his hands off the wheel and did a zealot attack motion or something, I dunno wtf it was, and we had a discussion in shitty broken english about various protoss units. After that, when I got outa the taxi he gave me a discount because of our starcraft discussion.
Only in Korea.

Rek: how does the korean social life differ from the one you had in usa? eg smoking/drinking, sexual attitudes
Well I started working out regularly and got a decent haircut so that kinda helps, but....
I have never smoked pot or anything, but in the USA I did drink a little bit in college (mostly was busy pokering though....though playing IRL poker when drunk always gave me the highest winnings cuz I played exactly the same except I talked mad shit so people always thought I was bluffing). I hung around with girls some, but not a whole lot.
Now that I'm in Korea I tend to go out once per week. I go to night clubs(hip hop), booking clubs(you get a table with fruit and whiskey and/or beer and they have ushers that move girls around from table to table to meet the guys (and a big dance floor)...pretty interesting way koreans do it) and bars with my friends (usually joel and korean guys who aren't part of hexatron) and girls..
All I can really say is Korean Girls = Rofl SUP???!?!?!

A lot of Americans like that song for some reason (those who don't normally listen to kpop). I asked ShoCK if it could be a good song in US if it was translated and he said yes because he loves the beat;;. If anyone wants.. I can upload the song (same w/ BK love).

I frequently visit about 3 forums, I roam through more though. I think the best forums are the ones on www.somethingawful.com , but that's mainly because of the payment and strict DONT-BE-A-JACKASS rule.
My main forums: semicolon-zero.com teamliquid.net bannedfromlife.com
The best site? It just depends on the catagory a lot. I'm a big fan of suprnova.org though

Are you a great lady or? :D
Anyway my sister went on a 3 weeks vacation to Scotland, together with her now 10 year long boyfriend. I myself love the Scots and always joke that real men wear a kilt, Braveheart is my biggest hero. Thus I asked them to bring me a kilt if they could, but they were far too expensive. They brought that hat thingy back with them instead, as a gift.
During their vacation I had my birthday, and the day they came back from Scotland we met up at 6 flags; themepark in Holland. They had the idea to give me it at the beginning of the day, before we entered the park. If I wore it the entire day then they would get me a kilt. They however forgot to give it to me, and only gave it after we left the park already. It was an awesome gift and I loved it, kept it on till I went to bed. Joked around a bit with it too, shouted Scottish stuff on the way home to random people, got some great responces :D

Wow, what a question! Catch 22, Joseph Heller's amazing satire on the murderous insanity of war, stands out in my mind as the best work of fiction I have read. Reading that book made me understand what literary genius really is. Darkly comic, as black as the night but utterly hilarious. Actually, one of my favourite literary anecdotes comes from an interview with Joseph Heller, when he was asked why he had never written another book as good as Catch 22, he gazed stoically at the interviewer and replied calmly: "Well, who has?"

Actually, one of my favourite literary anecdotes comes from an interview with Joseph Heller, when he was asked why he had never written another book as good as Catch 22, he gazed stoically at the interviewer and replied calmly: "Well, who has?"
The two best moments of the book was when Yossarian was imitating the insane patient thinking he was a genius at faking his illness, and basically any passage with Orr.

If any of those will be answered i'd already be more then happy.
i used to do microwar bets vs gundam a lost in the past, loser has to buy icecream for everyone (5$) cause we are manner, i lost once outa 4 vs him
we played a 3 way zvzvz ffa the other day, faggot leg won to bs
wcg usa has a lot of "unknown" players this year as far as tournaments go. i feel like if i get in a different half bracket than froz i will get top 3 100%, and if I don't i will get top 3 90%
assem isn't going to WCG USA this year, neither is hovz (well he's going to kick the shit out of abusers/hackers in the online ladder thats it)

I'm not sure exactly how to answer that. I read very slowly as I don't read as much as I hear and speak the language... I don't know a lot of slang or many complex words as the only Korean words ever spoken around me are the everyday ones... so like a vocab of a 2nd grader. And yeah, I always try to say sentences that I don't know exactly how to say in Korean when I meet new people (to get a real conversation going besides the normal family talk...you know?) and always screw up making me look like an idiot. Also, because of my grandma's, I use something called "sa-too-lee" which is basically a deep southern dialact of Korean. I use it without knowing it, too... because that's how I learned the words, and I just assume that's the correct way... until the fobs all laugh at me. Oh well, it's cool. My Korean goes in this order: Listening > Speaking > Reading > Writing. My writing is horrid... but you can see how I am logically in that order in how good in Korean I am... I hear it all the time, and I have to respond to those Koreans so I speak it a lot, and then I read it every now and then, but I rarely ever have to write it.
I hope that answers it. :D

Instead, I'll be just like Casper, a friendly ghost. :D It might be fun to randomly stack your dishes, turn your tv on randomly, and move around your furniture, though. :D
I think I already told all my good ghost stories... they are amazing good in certain situations to share. You get all these chills down your spine the whole night. :D

I'll give you 3, - #1 online practice First practice game i ever played vs Nal_ra. He was practicing for his OGN final match? vs Zeus.
He was ahead for a while, then i owned up one battle, then he clawed back with some genius spending/harass/attacks. In the end i lost the deciding battle because i hadn't spent my 1.5k gas to get archons like he had. One of the closest, back and foward matches i've had.
We played 5 games and i won 1, and 2 others should have been mine, but he was better then me at the time (showed me a few critical areas i had to improve on) And his builds on guillotine were great(we played 4 on guill and 1 on nostal), Nal_Ra is the only guy who i've played who has impressed me.
#2 TV game vs Ogogo on sauron for the tv game match POS vs Toona. Wont say any more about this do a search for KPGA Team League post by Liquid`Meat (waxangel wrote it) if you want to read it.
#3 Competition game but not televised. The gameTV rivival 41 new progamers to top 16 selection process. I was playing ccoma, first game i fucked up on LT i was so far ahead (made him cancel his 3rd hatch at his multi 2 times or so, and i just let him get some lurkers into my base because i was stupid). 2nd game was rape on nostalgia he went 4 hatch hydra i had gone +1 speed zeals, changed to canons at my ramp to multi, was pretty one sided. This of course all led to the final deciding match, winner goes through to the top 16 losers goes home with nothing.
Luna, i was top left he was top right, i went 2 gate he hatched at ramp then to exp, his olord was in my base but lookign at my buildings not my ramp, my probe in his, i ran my 3 zeals out, and i saw him pump a drone after his 6 lings, i ran until i thought he would be getting close then ran downwards (the behind lag vision that happens with units saw the zergligs pass by) so i hid my zeals just outside of his vision (as his zerglings ran to my base) and then ran up into his base. At this stage my heart was beating so damn fast (you know when you do something risky or something that could give you great rewards? and the adrenaline kicks in - i've only had that on one other game in korea when i was doing an awesome ling proof offcanon on hotforever on ETD map) Anyway i ended up killing just under half of his drones, and the game was pretty much decided then and there. Just after i lost those 3 zeals, i stopped playing and put my hand over my heart just to feel my heart beating as it was a little shocking, such a good feeling.

If that subject is something that interests people, I would suggest both:
"Johnny Got His Gun" by Dalton Trumbo. ...
and
"The Road Back" by Erich Maria Remarque.
neither of these are as humerous, but they are both great looks into the mind and dealings of those most affective by war. The Road Back is actually the sequal to All Quiet on the Western Front, but deals with Remarques experiences in returning to Germany with the rise of the young and embittered as a force, as well as the distrust and agony that returning troops were forced through.
Trumbo's book is a brutal critisism of war from what I could only call a militant pacifist. It is harsh, but a worth read.
Give it a shot

Somewhere along the lines of 5 december, probably really late in November. I'll be a 'zwarte piet'. My best friend asked me to do it, so I'll do her a favor. Somehow I always end up in a costume when a girl asks me.....
The 'festival' is called "Sinterklaas", it's sort of like Santa Clause yet the Dutch version. It's an old dude in a beard, his helpers are black fuckers who drop down chimneys (sp?) and give kids presents! It's very fun until you find out it's not real. T_T

Sorry to post here. I want to ask site mods / admins a technical question.
I know we can display the race of a player like this:
Promise
It links to their SOSPA page. But this page doesn't update anymore. So I think it would be better to link to their Liquipedia page, which is still updated.
How can I achieve this and still keep the race logo identification?
Or do I have to manually insert the logo as a .png? If yes, could you provide the URLs for the standard photos for the 3 races (and random)?
Thanks!

Sorry to bump, but can a Mod look into my previous question?

Yup that works. Thanks buddy!
