You guys are talking about adding videogames to the olympics while I think they should remove some of the sports. Like tennis or soccer. Those (and other sports) already have enough tournaments. Sports like judo and fencing are more 'olympiccy'.

In how many ways can you possible roll a bowlingboll on a 1 meter wide way to strike some stupid things down. And how big is the luckfactor? Ok I understand that all bowlers will think very different, but it must be harder to be the best in the world in starcraft, then beeing the best fuckin bowler! I mean...is there actually someone practicing 8 hours a day the week before a big bowling event? Haha, IS there even big bowling events? Anyway...WCG is kinda Olympics for computergames. Actually, at that opening cermony, i also thought about having the korean starcraft team marching in, boxer in front carrying the korean flag. ![]()

I.E. People will get pissed off and say you have wcg why are you invading olympics, olympic are traditionally ' physical ' tests, It's not big enough in many countries. Plus there were a few I mentioned that you guys didn't like maybe other countries would be an outrage if Boxer or someone went and managed to get like 5 gold medals in categories of 1v1,2v2,UMS,Team Play [ I list all those because otherwise 4 years to prepare is pretty much useless, you only need like 6 months at most ] It would be unfair because then Korea would get so many more medals> Stimey then suggested that there be a one medal per nation rule and it would raise some interesting competition. Anyway, the point is that he wants to know what the rules are to get a ' game ' into the olympics not reasons why it probably wouldn't be accepted. Myself I haven't found anything and I'm still looking, because now I'm curious.

The players make thousands of dollars per major tournament win. I heard something about a "sport" not being allowed into the Olympics unless it was ten years old, or more. Someone said that on here once before. I'm not sure how true it is, but if it is true, then that's probably the main reason BW couldn't be accepted.

If you play as black (note: if you get black, not like in BW play protoss, just so no one thinks I'm a retard) you are supposed to be happy with a draw, or so I thought. Then there's the issue of computers playing for players online and such. How many people play chess anyways?

The same goes for poker, starcraft, and a large number of other events that somehow are already olympics games. Curling is NOT a sport, It may take more physical effort then say.....a event in marksmenship. Still Its NOT a sport, I dont know why its not. Its just not. Standing still and aiming a gun is a sport, but 3 guys with brooms sweeping is not. Thats just the way it is. How can you not call curling a sport??? And why is marksmanship a sport if curling isn't :/ You make no sense! Btw, do they still have that thing where the host country can choose one event to be added to the games?
