You can do damage to your prostate far sooner than normal if you frequently hold in your pee. I know of a guy who lost a kidney because he kept holding in his pee while playing World of Warcraft. His urge to pee would go away after holding it for a while, until eventually that urge became a severe pain in his back, and he had to go to the hospital... Also, related ones: Do not hold in poop. If you ever feel the urge, make sure you go as soon as possible. Regular ejaculation is crucial to testicular and prostate health. You shouldn't go more than 3 or 4 days without ejaculating. Thanks for this, brb going to bathroom.

Before you say things to start a conversation, ask yourself in your head "what would (insert person/internet here) say in reply to this statement?" If it is not something good/pleasant/what you want to hear, then just don't bother saying anything. Saved me a bunch of embarrassment in the past few years.

Unless it's done without controlled breathing, then it's not manly... doing it without = manly perhaps? Controlled breathing would allow them to go to -20C without problems...

I looked around myself and other than seeing a bunch of skin product advertisements disguised as medical articles there is nothing out there. Natural oils are washed off of your skin, which can cause dryness. That is the only bad side effect from showering daily or showering with hot water. Obviously when I say "hot" water I mean below the threshold where it becomes painful.

Which makes it a lot less enjoyable... I guess it depends on how much you like maths. Here's one I don't quite understand. It happened to me once when I accidentally turned on the A/C instead of the heater in my car one chilly day. If you turn the A/C on and put it on your windshields, the fog disappears so quickly it's like magic and you don't have to wait for the engine to heat up or anything. But you're going to be cold. Turning the heat on takes longer to work and isn't quite as effective. But you'll be warm. So it depends on how urgently you need the defogging. Can anyone explain why this happens? I thought turning the heater on would be better at defogging and it makes no sense to me why the A/C works so well. You really have to try it to see just how big a difference there is between the A/C and the heater at defogging.

I thought turning the heater on would be better at defogging and it makes no sense to me why the A/C works so well. You really have to try it to see just how big a difference there is between the A/C and the heater at defogging. Your windows get foggy because the glass temperature is colder than the air temperature inside the car. As a result, water vapor in the air in the car condenses into liquid water against the inside of the windshield. Your defog works by directing air against the windshield to bring the glass temperature and liquid water temperature up a little so that the water returns to/stays as a vapor. The extra airflow also works to speed up the vaporization process. I imagine that because the air coming from the A/C is closer to the outside air temperature, it lowers the temperature gradient between the glass surface and the air adjacent to it. As a result the heat transfer rate is much lower between the water vapor and the glass, meaning that less condensation takes place. The airflow then takes care of the condensation already there, vaporizing it.

Obviously when I say "hot" water I mean below the threshold where it becomes painful. Here is what I know. I know that it is unwise to wash everyday because this dries up the oils in your skin and doesn't allow these natural oils to do their job. Hot water is usually not found and nature and we were never supposed to go into 100 degree water, the temperature of most hot showers. Repeatedly showering in hot water for over ten minutes a day, every day can cause irritation in the epidermis and redness in skin tone. Tougher skin, usually found in adults is more tolerant, and less affected by this. Basically kid's skin is more sensitive, and repeatedly showering in hot water for long times every day can be bad, as natural oils are washed off of the skin and can't do their job.
