I know many of you don't believe them, but they can be fun to nontheless. I decided to start one here after reading this forum topic on it (40 pages) and I'm sure some of you guys should have some intresting stories.
I'll share some of my own as well as people who I know (who were dead serious) ghost stories. The thing about it is it is around 2am here and I am freaking myself out by thinking of these things.
Anyway, when my family and I moved into our first house (it was one we built and it was very spacy 3000 square feet plus), we were all happy because we just came from an apartment all of our lives. But things were seriously not right there. It was a tri level house, basement-main-upstairs. I mean even when all windows closed, no doors open to the outside, the doors upstairs would open slowly, SLAM shut, then a few seconds, open again... Soemtimes the doors would take a motion that a person who walked into the room would make... Also, when you would walk downstairs, you would have this feeling... I mean this dreadful awful feeling. At first I thought it was just me, but my brother and my sister felt the same way when I asked them. Quoting my sister "Anytime I would go downstairs (main floor kitchen) for a midnight snack, I wouldn't eat at the table because it was too freaky. I would put my back to a cornor and look around as I ate... The downstairs kept chilly and really scary, like anytime I had to "pick up" something down there, I would run to get it and get up as fast as possible... the feeling is really really hard to describe (I have yet to feel it again regularly at a certain location). One time my brother was sleeping on the couch in our living room, when he felt something stroking his face, something cold. He opened his eyes and nothing. He thought nothing of it and went back to bed, but it came back again and that's when he hauled ass into his room. That house... I loved it... but it was haunted, I swear to god it was.
And stories besides the house... is about my friend. He is a few years older than me, but I think his family has some sort of... curse (or gift, call it what you want) that lets him communicate with the spirits easier. I'll go more into depth right later, but his mom, grandpa, etc all from his mom's side has it. Anyway, here's some of his stories, and I can say for 100% he wasn't kidding or joking.
Ok, ever since he was little, he would have a hard time going to bed because of "ghosts". They would constantly harrass him and haunt him. Like the instant he lied down, he couldn't get up and it would hurt him in his chest (crushing feeling) and choke etc, but never kill him. When he was young, he'd sometimes go 3 days without sleep because he knew the instant he went down, it'd happen again. He would lie back slowly, like you would when you do sit ups, but very slowly, and the closer his back got to the bed, he'd hear this low growl getting louder and louder. Sometimes he'd be so tired he'd say "screw it, hurt me" and just flop down, only to wrestle with it before he was knocked out. He tries screaming and nothing. He can sometimes see it standing over him... When he told his mom about this (as a child) she told him "You're a man, you have to beat it for it to go away" so he assumes his mom also dealt with it, and now that he's older and more observant, he think she hasn't "beat it" yet. He also hears stories from his mom's dad (gramps) about this sort of thing, like same sort of stories. I think it is a ghost haunting his family or something, some curse. :o Sometimes he'll have that ghost feeling for a month straight, and sometimes it won't be there for 2 months.
One time, this same friend went to a church in some really really small backwater town with his Native American friend. I don't remember the circumstances, but they said it was looked like a wierd church... anyway, during service, the minister decides to speak in tongues. So he gives this long serman in some wierd tongue, when all of a sudden the Native American friend is like "Dude, Dude! We have to get out of here." My friend, being a guy who never walks out of church service says "No.. we are staying, what's your problem?" But the other guy is like getting hysterical and is like "NOW! LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" like in mad, loud, wisper (You know what i mean?). When they get out of the building, my friend asks his friend why he wanted to get out so bad. The friend replys "Well you know the guy who's speaking in tongues? Well he's speaking in my Native Language (I forget what type of Indian he was) and he was saying 'Arise Demons! Arise! Come into here! Arise Demons!' etc." Pretty crazy...
Another story... one of my church members goes on a mission trip. They are helping out small churches doing praise nights and stuff. One day, they come onto this really small church and get all ready. Only about 8 people show up from the church, but it's ok anyways. They go through their skits, presentations, songs, etc for the night. But throughout the night, my friend said he wasn't "feeling" anything, he felt as if something was wrong. Also, when these guys pray (it is a special group), they usually pray outloud, because that just feels right. But that night, when they were doing their praying, it was DEAD DEAD quiet, y friend said he didn't to be able to connect, it felt... wrong. Well after the whole thing, they are having some snacks and fellowship in the hall before bed (they were going to spend a night there, cheaper than hotel). My friend mentioned his feelings, and surprisingly, EVERYONE felt the same wierd feelings. So they discussed this further and when they were talking about who was doing which job and who they got to know, like he would be like "Jason prayed with so and so, and they sat here and there" etc, until they got a good picture of where everyone was during the whole time in the sancutary. Then all of a sudden one of the guys, who was in charge of the overhead projector in the very back (raelly dark), comes out and says "nono... that can't be right. If all of you guys were there and accounted for... then who was the man who was sitting next to me?" ... None of them got any sleep.
Another story. This one is really freaky. One of my friend's best friend had this hella scary dream one night. She was on a bus with her mom. But something felt wrong, nobody was speaking on the bus, and the bus was always going in a slight downhill. Then suddenly it hits her: The bus was going to hell. She jumps out of her seat and goes to the bus driver to warn him that they are going to hell and to turn around, but when she gets there, she finds the grim reaper driving the bus. She runs back to her mom and screams at her mom to follow her off the bus. But her mom just stares blankly forward. Making a move, she opens one of those emergancy exit windows on the bus and starts to help her mom off the bus, but she was going first and was holding her mom's left hand to force her to follow. Just when she's about to jump off the bus, she turns around to see the grim reaper holding onto her mom's right arm, with the arm twisted around the mom's back. In the dream, she screams and is forced to jump off the bus herself, and then watches the bus carry her mom off to hell. This is when she suddenly wakes up, competely soaked in sweat. She was hella scared and goes to tell her mom about it (it was morning). When she goes into her mom's room, she finds her mom dead, with her right arm twisted around her back.
This is a short one and less scary than the last one, but I'll share it too. My cousin was in the Korean Army barracks getting some sleep when they hear a few guys screaming just outside. All of a sudden, 3 guys bust into the room and wake everybody up. They were running like hell from something and were still swearing and screaming. But when someone turned on the lights, there was only 2 guys standing there. Everybody in the barracks agreed they saw 3 guys come in, but nobody could keep track of the guys who came in after the chaos and in the dark. The barracks was located near a battle field were it is rumored thousands lost their lives in the Korean War.
So... anybody have any cool stories?

I'm positive it is. I mean when my friend told me about his experiences, it wasn't like during a "scary story" time or anything, it was at a Denny's while eating some dinner and we just got onto the topic. He didn't try to freak us out or anything, but he just told us his experiences, and he had so many and some of them were freakin' crazy, but he said them as if he barely cared. I guess he's seen too much of it so he's more used to it... I mean this is seriously his philosophy about it: They can't kill me, so I don't care too much. He admits sometimes it'll scare the crap out of him and hurt and harrass him, but it can't kill him so he's learned to cope with it.
One funnier story is that when he moved into his new house, he saw this girl in a red dress like 3 times. Finally, this one night when he's going to get some water, he sees the little girl coming up the stairs and she stops and stairs at him. He's all scared as hell but he starts to speak to it. What he said was "Ok, since we are both living here, let's strike a deal. You scare me and I feel uncomfertable when I see you, so when I'm in this room, you go to that room. And when I go to that room, you come to this room. This way, we can both live here and I don't have to be scared." And he never saw her again :o
Anyway, read up on that superhonda thread about ghosts, it is actually a good way to kill time at night. Some are really scary... no joke. :O

Haha, my whole room is totally black and dark except for my comptuer monitor and my little desk lamp. My main room light isn't even on... I'm just freaking myself out -_-; I need to take a piss, but I'm a pussy. I think I'll hold it and go to sleep. :p

Mu uncle(was a kid at the time) was sleeping in an old hospital that his dad(my grampa) owned, there were just the 2 of them in the hospital this night, this night my uncle was trying to sleep when he saw a women in the hallway in white, it freaked him out but he just hid under the covers untill he heard a rumbling sound that started in the hallway and was moving closer and closer to him, so he got up and bolted as fast as he could to the light switch and turned it on. That day on he refused to sleep in that room, this was one of those old English hospitals.
When my family was living at this one house we had a piano and one day everyone was out of the house, the piano was upstairs when we left, when we returned it was all the way down stairs(the piano needs 2-4 people to carry it atleast) and this house was a semi castle, I guess an old fashion mansion, so it was a quite a distance between up and down stairs. We never figured out how the piano was moved, it seems reasonable to assume it was super natural as we have no natural way to explain how it happened.
One time when my cousin was baby sitting me(I was a baby)and it was not too long after my gramma had died, I pointed in the corner and said gramma, gramma it really freaked my cousin out, though I still don't remember what I saw and if indeed it was my gramma.

Just before I woke up today I dreamed that I had a shotgun and shot a man several times in the head, but he kept coming after me then I realized that it was a vampire. He looked like Steve McQueen.

Once at my old house in South Carolina that I lived in for around 10 years a strange thing happened to me. The house had always had a few weird things happening every month or so, such as the bathtub water coming on for no reason, weird things being caught in my periphial vision and dissappearing as I turned to focus. But this one I'll never figure out.
I was outside playing basketball in my backyard around 12am, and I glanced at the storeroom doorway.(The storeroom lead into the kitchen and was the only way in the backyard) I saw a figure in the dark room pointing towards me. I immediately thought it was my mother waiting to bitch at me for being up so late. I walked towards the door and came up to the steps. The storeroom was basically pitchblack, but the light from outside let me see most of the figure standing before me through the glass door. I saw a blouse type shirt and medium-long hair.(similar to my mother's) I yelled "what do you want?, Does the dog need to go out again?" still assuming this was my mother. No response, no movement. I then thought she was trying to scare me, so I moved around the side to the window leading into the storeroom to see if I could make sure it was her. I saw the door leading into the kitchen open about 6inches(far to small for any human) and close. I went inside and ran in my mom's room. She was sound asleep, so I thought she may have ran back into bed and faked it. I woke her up and she was in her pajama's(completely different from the figure standing inches from me in the doorway) and her face was puffed up proving that she had been asleep.(she didnt have any time to change her clothes anyway)
I stayed up all that night with my dog watching TV, trying to figure out wtf it was that i was talking to. My friends family bought the house a few years ago and they called us within the first month saying that we sold them a haunted house and that all kinds of weird things have been happening and that their youngest daughter refused to sleep there anymore.
Was my one and only "unexplainable" experience. 
(Note: we bought the house from a family who's son killed a police deputy and they were going bankrupt from attorney fees..but the son was still alive in prison, so couldn't of been him..hmmm)

A friend was just hanging around his house and he went from his bedroom into the living room, when he felt this strange chill in the room. Im sure everyone has heard about photographs showing spirits and such, so goes and gets his polaroid camera and just snaps a picture of the room in the general area of where he felt it. In the picture, there is a face of older man. He showed it to a lot of people and they all said it looked like a person.

Mine's not really a ghost story but anyways
I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep when suddenly this really cold and wet hand touches my leg and pulls on it. Since it's like pitch black in my room and I can't see shit I freak out and is absolutley sure that it's a zombie trying to kill me (too much RE before bed is never good :p). So i think "fucking heellll" and throw my blankets and rush out of the room heart pounding heavier then ever. As i pass the lightswitch I turn the light on but I don't look back, instead i keep running until get ahold of a measuring stick that I intend to kill the zombie or whatever with and turn around to face it. I'm cold sweating now and I later heard that I made such a big ruckus my parents woke up and wondered what made the noise. All I can think about though is the thing in my room and how i'm gonna go down fighting atleast.
All this takes approx 2 seconds and when I kinda come to my senses I realize that a zombie trying to kill me in my bed seems unlikely for some reason. I'm scared to death anyway though and kinda edge closer to my room and check it from outside before i dare enter and then check below my bed, before I go to bed again, for the first time in like 10 years. After awhile though the rational part of the brain kicks in and i kinda puzzle out what happened. I apparently tossed when i slept and kicked the foot out of the blankets and therefore my fucking brain made up some shit about a zombie gripping it in my dream and when I woke up I still remembered it, really hope that NEVER happens again.
My dad laughed at me the morning after too sucks.

Oooh... This is nice. I have read threads like this before. They are really lovely. I don't have any special experience from anything like this what I can remember, but I do belive things like this are true.

A friend of mine lives in a 350 years old farm. I was staying over there with some friends and we watched movies till deep in the night. So after the movies everyone goes to sleep. We were with 3 guys in the room next to the attic. The house has 2 lvl's, downstairs and the firstfloor. The attic is a huge space on the 1st floor next to the sleeping rooms. Anyways we were in the room with the door to the attic. We slept there till eleven then every1 went downstairs to get some breakfest. I stayed behind to throw some darts at the dartboard that was hanging on the door which led to the attic. I was throwing for several minutes when suddenly the door went open. I was thinking that it was draft. When i was walking towards the door i noticed that it was impossible for the door to open from draft. The door gets closed with a wooden pin which goes in a hole in the wall. This old construction isn't really easy to use. It costs quite some strength to close and open a door that way and the pin is lifted upwards. Kinda impossible for draft to open. I didn't think about that at the time. I was just walking over to close the door but when i tried to close the door there was something pulling it open again. Still thinking it was draft. When i finnaly slammed the door shut i tried to close the pin. When the pin was being lifted upwards again i understood this was no druft. The thing was literaly being pulled upwards with force. That was when i realized this wasn't draft. I was scared shitless, ran downstairs where i sat down to catch my breath again. When i asked my friend about this he was like "ohhh that, that happens a lot, my sister even saw them". Seemed that he was used to it and didn't make a fuzz about it. I sometimes ask about the ghosts but he always ignores it. It certainly got me fascinated i dunno if it are ghosts but it must be something.

I have some experiences that happened to me during my childhood.
First time when i was like 7-8 years old i were in this forest
practising orientering when i suddenly heard a laughter
coming from the swamp nearby i was crossing. Natrually i spinned around to check what was going on figuring that maybe one of my
friends was pulling a joke. Seconds later the laughter ceased
and instead i heard a different voice this one crying and screaming.
I ran towards the noice and i saw a girl of my age stuck in the mud sinking into the ground. When she noticed me she abruptly stopped screaming and moved her lips like she was trying to say something to me but there was no sound. She also gave me this sad look on her eyes which i will never forget. You know how a swamp looks like so i tried to get to her as fast as i could but once i looked away trying to find
a passage towards her. And when i looked there again she was gone.
I hurried towards the spot where she had been. And when i ran my
hand trough the mud i suddenly had this ice cold feeling on my smallest
finger on my left hand i snapped back my hand noticing that there
were a deep cut at that finger.
I manage to get home safely, and the next day when i got to school my
teacher told us about witch trials and how young girls had been drowned.
The next thing happened to me some years later i was in my country house and it was during middle of night. I hadnt noticed anything
special at all during the day. Anyway some reflex tells me to wake up,
and when i wake up my vision is all blurred and in different red tones.
I started screaming and banging my arms and legs because i thought that
this was it i was going to die but as sudden as i had got this feeling
it stopped just leaving my parents wondering what was going on.
The third thing also happened when i was like 7 years.
I was laying in my bathtub and suddenly it feels like something trying
to tell me to lay down in my bathtub (instead of sitting). Well i do as it says and lay down, then it in one way or another it told me
to lay down with my head downwards facing the water. I am extremly calm almost in a trancelike feeling so i do as it says. And i feel all calm laying there with my face downwards i remember something calming me by saying things like "breath, breath through your ears". So i lie there for some time (i cant remember for how long it felt like i lay there for an eternity). But suddenly my mum walks into the bathroom and she sees me laying face down in the bath tub. She gets all paniced
and at that moment it felt like a spell was broken and i realised "shit im laying downwards in my bathtub" or something and i have never got that feeling again.

man...reading these stories i get tgis very very very cold chill..
like klogan i also had lived in an apartment but i never knew if it was haunted or not.. one time i was in my sisters room when is aw my sister combing her hair so i talkedd to her and she said nothing so went outside and i asked my sisters where she was and they said she left like an hour ago.. another time i was sitting on my couch and i felt something very cold go right through me either it was a huge chill or something went right through me.
at my old house in fresno my mom would always pray at like 1200 and shes like really religious..so one night a ghost came out and told her im going to kill your children so she takes a broom and wacks the ghost all over the house.
have you guys ever felt something weird when you go to the bathroom? like somethings in there and you cant close the door? well ive had this feeling all my life and sometimes i still cant close it i just get cold

If you do, start taking pictures everywhere and post them.. Even look back in your old pictures, and see if you see the glowing orbs.
Anyways, there was this one house, that got alot of attention. Apparently, you can sometimes hear the voice of the ghost. Or at times the cupboards and doors would open and slam shut.
Well anyways, a girl lived there and she just couldn't take it anymore and decided to move out. So her boyfriend decided to do some investigating. He and his friend would sit there for couple of nights, with a camera and a thermometer of some sort. Now, before whenever teh ghost appeared, the room would get cold. So every hour or so they would go around the house checking the temperatures, and they found some corners of the house alot colder then others, and would then return to normal later. Well this one night there hear a creaking on one of the rooms. So the friend brought the camera to check it out. They left all the doors closed, so imagine their surprise when they got to the room the door was open. So wtih all this on video, the friend slowly walks up to the door, and BAM the door shut right in his face knocking him down.
You can hear the guy wtih the camera just scream and is panting like crazy. You can really tell he was spooked.
THey also looke dthrough their old pics and saw some floating orbs, which couldn't be explained. Also, since they posted the pics, some people on the net were able to make out distinct faces that they never noticed before.. It was all pretty freaky

My only exp is when I was 6, I woke up in the middle of the night and my bedroom looks out into the living room and right into the guestroom where there is an old dresser. My cat was laying right next to me and all of a sudden jerked his head up and looked towards the room, and swear to god, that dresser moved.

No I don't, and I would like to take some pictures when it feels "wierd" just for my expereince sake. Too bad we sold it though, or maybe it was a good thing :o Seeing faces in pictures is freaking crazy and makes you never want to go there again. -_-

That pressing feeling that Klogon mentions his friend having is actually sleep paralysis and I've gotten it a lot too. It's usually worse if you sleep in damp places. Koreans refer to it as beign pressed by "ga wi" but yeah you hear shit and feel shit and your body won't move. I've seen a lot of shit while ga wi'd from a lady that was layin in bed with me that looked very scary and mean to a lil baby with huge huge bugged out eyes that was bleeding all over to just wierd shapes.

Sleep paralysis sucks -_- All my close friends have had it, thankfully not me (yet? TT)
Anyway, some stories to share..maybe not as scary but they were to me.
When I was like 11-12, I went to my friend's Cousin's apartment. My friend brought his dog also...and I've always been told (maybe it's a chinese tale only? I don't know, only my Chinese friends know this) that dogs can see ghosts or something. Anyway, the apartment was still pretty empty because my friend's cousin just moved in, and it was during Winter so it was fairly cold. But, there was this one spot near the wall where it was just warm..and we were all like wtf? Suddenly, the dog walks over and just starts barking like MAD at the wall and we're all like WTF?? So my friend takes his dog out and the dog keeps looking back and barking..but he settles and is fine. Later, the dog comes back in when we're all about to leave, and a few min later he goes back to facing the wall and barking like crazy.
Also, in my room whenever it's just quiet, and I'm sitting down reading/studying/doing hw, I suddenly felt a cold chill just go through me. It happened to me twice on 2 consecutive summers when I was 13 and 14 I think...and I was just too freaked out so I asked my parents if I could sleep in their room T_T. Now whenever I'm in my room, I always keep my computer on, and thus, Winamp is always on and playing. Never a quiet moment, damn ghost.

I read someplace that there are frecuencies where you can hear and see ghosts.
For example when you point a microphone to the speakers you hear this aweful noise, you can do this but with a video camera.
Point the camera to the output (TV), it will make the same effect than the microphone but visually, tape what you record for a few minutes and then watch it in slow motion and its suppoused to show freaky ghost figures

Well theres a story of the best friend of my ex-brother in law, he told us this story when he was 24 and he nearly cries in the middle of it, he is really freaked out about that since then.
When he was a kid he was playing that kid game, Hide and seek (or however its called)in the middle of the nigh, so he was finding a place to hide and he saw this vertical stairs to the roof of the house, so he starts climbing them but is still hard to reach the edge of the roof so he grabbed it but he couldnt get up, so he saw a man with a raining coat and black beard leaning foward offering him a hand, so he gave him his hand but when he was pulling him up he saw underneath the raincoat he had GOAT LEGS, he was so freaked out that he released his hand and he fell and broke a rib and his arm.

you guys are sure good story tellers, i have some to share but will probably type it up later. one thing is, any of you ever felt stuck on your bed after wake up? i mean you're conscious but just can't move your arms or legs, anything. i went thru that quite a lot, one time i woke up and stuck while i slept sideward, and felt someone tapping my butt. i couldn't move any part of my body but was able to move my eyes, i slept sideward so couldn't see anything back of me, thought it might be my sister playing around. after awhile i finally able to move again but only to find no one in the room nor in the house.

i've never felt sleep paralysis(but i wish somday ), it actually has a detailed cientific explanation, but i forgot it ._.v.
Its like when you wake up suddenly wake up almost jumping out of the bed, that is exlained that the ear gets confused on your position so you the body doesnt know the position so you suddenly wake up like WTF!

There really are some crazy experiences out there if you ask around. I posted this link earlier, but in case you guys missed it: the thread starts off with a guy asknig for help because he just bought a "hot" mannequin, and ever since he brought it home, dishes stack themselves, banging sounds, chills, and the stuff being found in wierd places later. His situation is quite hilarious because if he gets rid of the mannequin, the ghost might get pissed off and might be "trapped" in his house so he has to deal with it forever, but he doesn't want to just keep it around and wants help. I thought it was funny.

OMG THAT IS A MOVIE THAT IS SO SCARY. MAYBE WAIT YEA . . . that scene is straight out of gothica, where the dumb white girl is standing in the road with her hair covering her newbie self, then she screams like shes been molested. I apparently tossed when i slept and kicked the foot out of the blankets and therefore my fucking brain made up some shit about a zombie gripping it in my dream and when I woke up I still remembered it, really hope that NEVER happens again. My dad laughed at me the morning after too sucks.
The freakiest dreams are when you dream you are falling and then u wake up and you think you're still falling so you try to catch yourself.......anyone experience one of those?

Once, I was walking through my house when I noticed a chill. I looked around for no reason and then kept walking. Then when I walked up the stairs I saw this figure in my parent's room.
I walked inside and the figure turned around and it was THE HOTTEST CHICK I'D EVER SEEN.
I was like "wassup" and she was like "wanna have sex cuz i got 2 hours before I go to heaven"
And I was like, yea wutever.
So we BANGED for 1 hour and 50 minutes and I videotaped it to show all my friends and when she was about to leave I was like
"wait, am i gonna see your hot ass again"
and she was like
"yea, when you die u'll go to heaven and then we'll bang all the time
So today, I am still waiting to die.

Once when I was around 10, I woke up in the middle off the night and I was like wtf, I can see in dark.. Am I dreaming or was it just my imagination showing the furnitures? Ill never know for sure, but what I did is that I turned the light on to check that the furniture were matching what I saw in the dark, and they were, after I turned the light off, I could still see them clearly in this kind off yellowish dark (like those greenish night vision techtoys...).
It was so not spooky or anything, and since it was middle of the night, I just get on with my night of sleep... Never bothered me, ever happened again...
I think it was just my eyes that were used to the dark and there might have been some moon light. Like many french, I dont sleep well if there is a bit off light...

For some reason I always feel like there is someone behind me. Like a person from the scary movies I've watched. Also on Ju-On my brothers friend was about to show us it when my 2 brothers chickened out. So I never got to see it even though he says it gives you nightmares I still want to watch it. Just like 2 days ago I searched it on google and it showed me this picture so I got freaked out. Now I kinda don't want to watch it. I also have Shrek 2 soundtrack on so I won't get too scared. Lol.

Go to a room wich is completely dark not with the slightest light, then stare at the mirror for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes of staring if you done it right you will be able to see the devil's face on the mirror.
Actually it works, its just that your eyes get used to the darkness and after a few minutes you can see a lil bit and you will see your refleciton, scary stuff

sometimes I hear strange sounds in my flat, I mean I'm alone but the sounds are as if someone would walk around, also I've seen my cat one time (my kitten is dead ) or maybe my brain got so used to not stepping on the cat in the dark, that I only thought she was walking there :/
I mean the cat looked quite normal, but all ok - still was pale. Her fur was red, but then it looked white-yellow. I miss my cat
hopefully I always control my dreams (lucid(?) dreaming)
still such stories make me feel that I always wanna sleep with my girlfriend, so when I woke up I feel her beside me they also remind me that I don't have a girlfriend at the moment

That was when i realized this wasn't draft. I was scared shitless, ran downstairs where i sat down to catch my breath again. When i asked my friend about this he was like "ohhh that, that happens a lot, my sister even saw them". Seemed that he was used to it and didn't make a fuzz about it. I sometimes ask about the ghosts but he always ignores it. It certainly got me fascinated i dunno if it are ghosts but it must be something.
you ran down the stairs an had to catch your breath??

I've had really really bad past experiences with this, just want to warn people who are interested in spirits and ghosts... you shouldn't go too far
When i was young i was "hallucinating"(im not even sure what was going on really) spirits. Every single time i was alone, i was seeing things.. and they could touch me,grab me, bring me back when i was trying to run... i could never make a sound. If you ever have a kid who has those problems, tell him to fight against it.
One of the most recent thing that happenned to me was the following...
I was sleeping and I heard some1 yelling.. as if he was being tortured like never before... like if god was screaming.. it was SO loud.. so i woke up and saw something like the face of the young girl in the exorcist right in my face(nothing to do with the movie, it never scared me) and i saw a huge light like if the sun was approching from me.. and then.. i woke up for real in the same position that i thought i was awake and saw all that. Yes, i screamed.
Whether you believe it or not is your choice but this is 100% true.
Btw, lucid dreaming helps to fight against fear.
PS: Im not fayth.

I have never experienced any weird stuff, except when I'm having a fever that's when I'd see whitish figures floating around and stuff. Scary, but now that I'm 22 and haven't seen anything I don't believe in those supernatural things anymore.

I was lying in bed sleeping one night when something woke me and ... i didnt know what it was but i had that feeling of paralysis... then something began moving up my bad and it got bigger as it came up... i decided i had to see wtf it was so i ripped off the blankets and found a GIANT ERECTION.. OMG... I was terrified.

Hmm I have no personal experience, I'm sad to say since I'm really intrested in the supernatural, but my ex and her family had a pretty weird experince some years ago.
They are all, exept the father who is out working, sitting in the downstairs kitchen, when they hear the front door open and then close, they all hear it, and thinks it's the father returning from work. Then they hear footsteps walking upstairs (the stair is right beside the front door) and they hear him walking around upstairs (old house, you can hear it very well) Anyhow, noone thinks that there is anything weird about this, so they just go on about their buisniess, and the mom is cooking dinner, and when it's done she calls for the father to come down and eat with them (this is like 20 minutes after they heard him "come home" ) but she gets no response, so she walks upstairs to fetch him, but noone is there, she walks down the stairs again, and check the front door, wich weird enough is locked. So she calls him on his cellphone and asking him what he's doing, and he says that he is on his way home from work.....
I must say that would classify as a supernatural encounter, or atleast a very weird experience.

However, I did get a nasty case of "sleep paralysis" once at work, only time something lke this has ever happened to me. It was a monday morning, no one was in so I fell asleep for half an hour by sitting down and resting my head on my keyboard. I woke up because I heard people coming in, but the problem was I couldn't move. I was stuck with my head bent forward, and all my limbs wouldn't move, I panicked and tried to scream over and over then all of a suddenly my head snapped up and I was wide awake. I asked my coworker next to me if she had heard me screaming but she just looked puzzled and said I didn't make a sound. Wierd, that sleep paralysis is some scary stuff, that's the last time I'll ever fall asleep in a wierd position that cuts the blood flow to my brain :/

This isn't really a ghost story, but it's still freaky.
My dad told me about it. He said when he was very young 7-8 years old perhaps, he lived in some sort of apartment building 2 stories, landlord on the top floor my dad on the bottom.
And this was probebly 50+ years ago, someone breaks into the landlords house from the roof, guy catches him and, the guy had an ice pick. because they didn't have refrigerators back then, had to buy big blocks of ice and cut it up your self. The landlord catches the guy and attacks him with the ice pick repeatedly and kills him.
Cuts him up into pieces with a butchers knife. Gets alot of those onion sacks fills them with his body parts and throws them in a swamp near there house.
No one ever says anything about it, even after the screams.

At my parent's house I often see strange things in the mirrors. Black figures that have no representation in the actual room. Its pretty disturbing when you see a shadow standing behind you in the monitor, and when you look back there is nothing there.

I'm sure someone mentioned this, but in response to the original poster's story about the boy who whenever he went into bed was pushed down, the feeling of having someone sitting on your chest--usually believed to by the sleeper to be a witch for whatever reason--is just a symptom of entering into a low stage of sleep. For me, when gaining conscienceness just before I was going to lose it, I experience the sensation of missing a step and falling, often associating it with the thoughts that were going through my mind (I'm running for a baseball and trip)

I started screaming and banging my arms and legs because i thought that
this was it i was going to die but as sudden as i had got this feeling
it stopped just leaving my parents wondering what was going on.
The third thing also happened when i was like 7 years.
I was laying in my bathtub and suddenly it feels like something trying
to tell me to lay down in my bathtub (instead of sitting). Well i do as it says and lay down, then it in one way or another it told me
to lay down with my head downwards facing the water. I am extremly calm almost in a trancelike feeling so i do as it says. And i feel all calm laying there with my face downwards i remember something calming me by saying things like "breath, breath through your ears". So i lie there for some time (i cant remember for how long it felt like i lay there for an eternity). But suddenly my mum walks into the bathroom and she sees me laying face down in the bath tub. She gets all paniced
and at that moment it felt like a spell was broken and i realised "shit im laying downwards in my bathtub" or something and i have never got that feeling again.
so this one time i heard a girl scream and drown in the swamp . few years later i woked up with blurry vision, i dunno wtf was happening but i went mental cause i fought i was dying el oh el ? anyway the main event happened not too recently when i laid face-down in the bath cause a voice in my head told me to. my mom was pretty worried but i explained her it was ghosts. "im not crazy, but i think the voices in my head might be"

The bus one is 'definitely' false, I've read that scene in a fiction book somewhere.
The scariest thing I've ever watched was this scene in some HK movie. The main character is looking for her cameraman in this dark warehouse and she's talking to him on the phone, asking where he is and shit. He say in a room behind this large blue door, they go in and she asks him where he is, and then they turn around and see him dead with all this blood sprayed. His eyes open, no phone, just staring.
Scared. The. Shit. Out. Of. Me.
I swear, if the phone rang after that scene I would've died. rofl :D

I have a couple stories my grandfather told me. I used to think they were just to scare me, but he got incredibly offended when I challenged him on it, so I think they might be real.
When he was younger, he lived with his parents, and he had a dog. One day, he was outside with his dog, and he let his dog run into the backyard, and it just sort of disappeared. He couldn't find it, and did everything he could (askd neighbors for help, etc.), but still nothing. A little later, he went outside, and saw about 6 people in black robes standing in a circle, digging a hole in the ground. My grandfather got scared, so he ran away. The next day he went back to where he saw those people, dug a hole, and found his dog.

The next story isnt about me, its about the very infamous Frozenarbiter which he one late night let me know of afther promising not to speak of it ever again.
This event took place last summer during his hardcore practice for the nordic WCG.
It was an warm day, no it had been a really hot day. FA had been sweating infront of the computer the whole day cursing the damn hot Swedish summer. FA was alone home for once and desided to spend some quality time playing broodawar.
The day was turning into night but the heat still remained and that was rare.
However FA played on his games like nothing happened without noticing the day had turned into night. As timed passed the temperature didnt fall but instead it slowly rise taking first of his tshirt but afther a while having no clothes to take off and still feeling like he was burning, he went to the bathroom to soak himself cool.
To his terror the only water coming out was buring hot.. Now the temperature started rising faster and his vision beacome dim and red. The last thing he rememberd was himself rolling around on the floor screaming in pain.
Later he awakes sitting in his chair fully dressed and facing a losscreen. Chocked from his past experience he slowly went towards the bathroom the check if this hadnt just been a bad dream afther felling asleep infront of the computer. Afther telling himself over and over again that this had just been a bad dream he slowly opened the bathroom, the heat had been replaced by a icy cold that was now escaping through the partly opened door. And he could feel his moments getting slower and slower by the icy touch...
Then it was gone.. seconds later he hears ´the sound of his family coming home. Resulting in him collapsing on the floor afther the paralyze had gone... hulking and sobbing he tried to say what had just happened but the words couldnt get through no matter how hard he tried.
Weeks later he gets a feeling of extreme relief and he could finally talk about this its first then i got to hear about it. I hope me reporting this is okay with you FA i can remove it otherwise.

So she calls him on his cellphone and asking him what he's doing, and he says that he is on his way home from work.....
I must say that would classify as a supernatural encounter, or atleast a very weird experience. Try a thief.
That locks the door on his way out and steals nothing?

Later he awakes sitting in his chair fully dressed and facing a losscreen. Chocked from his past experience he slowly went towards the bathroom the check if this hadnt just been a bad dream afther felling asleep infront of the computer. Afther telling himself over and over again that this had just been a bad dream he slowly opened the bathroom, the heat had been replaced by a icy cold that was now escaping through the partly opened door. And he could feel his moments getting slower and slower by the icy touch...
Then it was gone.. seconds later he hears ´the sound of his family coming home. Resulting in him collapsing on the floor afther the paralyze had gone... hulking and sobbing he tried to say what had just happened but the words couldnt get through no matter how hard he tried.
Weeks later he gets a feeling of extreme relief and he could finally talk about this its first then i got to hear about it. I hope me reporting this is okay with you FA i can remove it otherwise.

Still nothing special for me.
My grandmother has way to many story of premonitary dreams and other experiences.
I have lived in a hundreds years old house and I've walked in forst at night alone.
always the feeling of been home won a possible fear.
I have experienced some very light panic for no actual reason. Heart start beating and get sweaty after I wake up in middle of the night. But thats about it.
Oh there this story when my sister was 2 she said to my mom that grandpa came here (he was dead for 2 years. My mother asked if he said something. She said "Did you got any fish" or something like "shall we go fishing". My grand father loved fishing but not so much that it would had been told to my little sister the exact phrasing he used to use.
I have a low level of sceptisism embedded in myself since I have been very young.
Like strange stuff happening when I was 8 doesn't made me believe about anything weird going on. Like on night waking up and seeing in the dark. I just checked where the light was coming from and didn't find, then I switch light on to check if I really saw or if I just remembered what should the room looks like. (darkvision seems yellowish just like a "memory").
So after that I couldnt find why I could see, I just went back to sleep and I still dont care and know I could see from some light and my eyes were just "used" to the darkness. Maybe before waking up, I had been sleeping eyes open and they just had adjusted.

When i was young, i lived in this house, that before we moved there, a freaking satan lover lived there, so anyways, i was like 4 years or something, like in the middle of the night, I always like going to the kitchen and drink some milk(one level house this was) well one night I was drinking my milk when i heard a glass brake in the living room. i was Like OMFG WTF!!!! the living room was just outside the kitchen, i saw this white dude in white robes white skin white everything, touching the sofa and after he sat down, he turned at me and smiled, I felt totally horrified, i ran like a 100mts olympic champion towards my parents' room and slept there.... the next morning we found the glass broken and the exact place where this dude touched the sofa burned, a week later we moved away.....

The only wierd shit that happens near me is that the door in my fence leading from the side of my house in the front to the back always is open, regardless of the fact that my family habitually keeps it closed. It's tied closed with a rope now because the lock is rusted to shit. It's always open, and yeah, it's a little odd.
The rope that lets you pull down the staircase to the attic sometimes will be swinging violently after I hear sounds like footsteps in the attic. Freaky =\
I also get the creeps when I'm sleeping, and I face away from my door. I hear things in my room move, like I'll hear a sound like a cat stepping on something I have lying on my floor, just wierd shit like that. The other night I was lying on my side facing the wall, and I was almost asleep, and then suddenly I woke up pretty frieked out, and I seriously thought there was someone in my room slowly walking towards me. Nobody was there, but it's still fucking wierd.

I live in Kalamazoo, MI in a neighborhood known as the "Stuart area historic district." Many of the houses here are 100+ years old and restored. In fact, there are building codes that people must maintain their houses in a certain way to look historic on the outside. They gave us a hard time when we wanted to build just a two-car garage here.
Our house (and the one behind it) were built in 1889 and 1896 by a man named Grant Tuttle. A relative of his named Margaret Berry (I think it's like his great grand-daughter or something?) lives in the house behind ours. As my mom is very interested in antiques and old houses, she asked Ms. Berry about Tuttle and the story of these two houses when we moved here. Ms. Berry shared alot with my mom about the houses, but I was only two or three at that time. I have learned most pieces of the story after hearing my mom share it with friends and family. An interesting part of this story is that Grant Tuttle was apparently burried by his wife and daughter, Kate and Katherine Tuttle, in their back yard when he died shortly after the completion of the second house. The only thing that seperates our houses (other than a maybe 20 year old fence) is a huge flat lawn with very large trees and gardens scattered about.
Skipping ahead to around 1999, my dad and I were working in the yard. I remember it was a hot day and I had to work for awhile before my dad would let me go to a friends house or play on the computer or something. I was busy turning the garden while my dad was enlarging our compost pile (it was already a good waist height deep it seemed.) He called me over to look at something. In the dirt there was a bone... Oh great, very cool i thought, probably some dog died a million years ago. But my dad wouldn't give a shit..why did he care? ... (Before he studied in technology, my dads ambition was to become a doctor. When he was young he worked part time as an orderly in a hospital, helping out. He had some general medical education i believe. ) ... When he uncovered this bone more, it turned out to be longer than we thought. It was maybe about the length from my wrist to my elbow, and he suspected it was a human bone. My neighbor (a pediatrician sp?) thought the same. The bone definately came from a human. My dad stopped digging right then and put the bone back down in the compost, replacing all the dirt and more back into the hole, hoping not to stumble onto any other bones i think. My father is not superstitious but he did this silently and quickly, fervently, almost religiously, and it settled on me that we very well may have disturbed a hundred year old grave. We've never been digging over there again. We never told Margaret that and we never will. By now my mom has covered that area in garden and our 'compost' is some bins or something.
Another interesting tidbit of the history - Margaret swears that Grant sits in this one rocking chair she has sometimes. But she's a little crazy. She hasn't left that house in awhile, and I can sometimes imagine her sitting in that chair too. Maybe she's a ghost ;o

than i drank it all and was thirsty.. but too sick to get out of bed..
so i went back to sleep but when i turned back to the water 5 minutes later, it was full again
