Americans think their trucks dominate the American market because American trucks are superior. Guess again. The Big Three automakers spend hundreds of millions every year lobbying politicians to do whatever it takes to keep out the vast majority of the Japanese trucks available in Japan and elsewhere. Japanese trucks > all. Japanese cars (at the avg consumer level) > all. Not bias. Just fact. Btw, trucks suck. | ||

American Trucks are awesome! The only Japanese truck I know of are the Toyotas that are sold here. But yeah, the Japanese cars are the best because they can actually corner! EDIT: btw, I have a hard time believing that Japanese trucks are far superior. Any links to some top Japanese ones that are not sold in the states? I know little about trucks, but automobiles are always cool to learn more about. | ||

I doubt the lobbying has any substantial effect, Japanese auto companies are so welcome they get subsidized by the government when they do business here. edit: also I find it funny you say a product of hype rather than ingenuity. They ran it up, and down stairs, and finally dropped it some 20 stories (or more) off a building that was being demolished. They then took it to the show where they were advertising for it (I can't recall which show), and the thing was still running. They did so much to it, it was amazing the thing continued to run. EDIT: Trucks are gay, anyways. I mean, if you want to go fast, buy a fucking car. If you want to off-road, stay off road with that huge piece of shit, and allow me to see down the road without your huge ass blocking my vision. | ||

Japanese cars kick ass. Although there is something about American feel in cars that chokes me up (it's my bl1nd patr10t1sm) Best car ever : 4th Generation Trans Am. Looks cool, handles well, pretty fuel efficient. Back on topic though, I have seen some pretty kickass looking trucks, but again I'm not a truck person. Post pictures of these trucks? | ||

anyways, ya i hate trucks too, too much gas...i drive a beat up mazda 626..gets me around tho..one day when im out of college and all that tuition i put in doesn't get wasted, i hope to get a 7 series or an M3 or betta yet an M5 i have a thing for bmw. Then again, the car industry is growin so rapidly and lots of manufactureres are catchin up in quality..like infiniti, acura and so on, so in the future who knows, drivin an m5 or 7 series won't be much betta, it'll just be a name, but the other cars will be same or close in quality and betta yet cheaper... | ||
