Are the repeat uses of things like that supposed to be easter eggs for people who watch a lot of the movies? I can't imagine it saves much time to re-use an animated scene. ![]() | ||

You populate a world space with a bunch of models that you animate, using cameras, lighting and other mathematical techniques to simulate what you want to see. One big difference is a video-game does this in real-time, and an animated movie's scenes get pre-rendered on a server farm. They use similiar techniques, just do it on a grander scale, with much higher polygon-count models, more accurate lighting and can do a whole swath of other things that a home computer or console couldn't hope to calculate in real-time. Thus, just like video games who re-use textures, artwork and whatever else they can in order to save time and money, animated movies do it, too. Plus, it makes for a cute easter-egg. ![]() | ||
