Actually the faulty assumption is that moving one end of the stick instantaneously moves the other end. At a small scale, its not unlike a large slinky or sponge. Atom split doesn't give you energy from turning mass into energy, rather from changing the atom stability.

Even if the stick was 1 meter long and we could transfer information faster than light, it would be something big. It's not the mass of the stick and the force that's the problem here.
