These aren't my words. Neither Tolstoy nor Dostoevsky have any inkling of a sense of humor; both lived lifestyles contradictory to what they preach in their literature. Dostoevsky is a notorious misanthrope and his works are not particularly enjoyable to read. | ||

![]() Good book, Tolstoy > Dostoyevsky. I dont really know how you can say they are overrated as authors, as both have a pretty good library of books but both are only known for one. Perhaps those two books are overrated, as they are probably 2 of the most recognizable names in classic literature, but definitely as authors they are underrated. Just finished reading The Idiot a couple months ago, definitely pick it up if you enjoy C&P. | ||
