sigh. its so hard to judge the kite flying thing. if a regular person had done that with no pretty music in the background it would've been laughed off the stage, it really wasn't that impressive
I mean I feel for the kid, I'm not exactly sure how hard dealing with epilepsy is, but in the grand scheme of things there's just a time and place for everything, and I think letting him on the show for a mediocre talent just because he's disabled is unfair
my sister's autistic but she can do sick cartwheels, awesome LONG handstands, and finish I-spy's in like 10 seconds, but we're not gonna put her on the show because her talent's aren't as good as other peoples.
still good for him that he was brave enough to do it in front of that crowd.
Never thought I'd agree so much with monion. Seriously, this. Before I even scrolled down these were my thoughts...
Kite boy - Pretty sure everyone realizes this is a joke, and is 90% music, 9% sympathy/pity, 1% anything interesting.
Singing - I can't remember what show it was... maybe it was even this one, or something very very similar before... there was a guy who had a keyboard/piano keys, very large on the ground. He would play them by juggling balls into the keys, and actually played a full piece. He was up against some fat woman who sang. Guess which one won overwhelmingly? I've never watched these trash shows since.

I want those fire-juggling ass bouncers and stuff from the early stages.
This. So many interesting and truly unique acts get passed over for completely average singers (I'm looking at you, Kevin Skinner).
I'm really excited to see more from Fighting Gravity. Definitely one of the most unique things I've seen anywhere. (EDIT: Should've read the whole thread, didn't realize it's been done. First time I'd seen it though. I think it was still really well choreographed and had a great atmosphere though.)
To be honest I wasn't very impressed by the Maricar chick. Believe me I'm the first one to have his head turned by a chick in a latex outfit, but her actual talent didn't seem all that impressive to me, and it seems like the catsuit is just a gimmick anyway.
Not to dilute the thread but so far this has been my favorite anything from an X's Got Talent show:
This was great! Love! War! Love ones long forgotten and metallica! This is the kind of thing I'd like to see more of. Dime a dozen singers can go fly a kite.

lol letting him on the show? i believe they are called auditions. where they let EVERYONE in the show.
granted the kid has not one of the best talents, prolly will be eliminated if america agrees with your post. And there are better acts also so i wouldn't be surprise if that were to happen.
you're joking right? you really think they let everyone in front of the judges? honestly?
I've tried out for american idol 3 times. there is a pre round, before the round in front of the judges, where they weed out the mediocre people (aka THOUSANDS of auditions) then they let through the:
this kid falls in the 3rd category, there were probably better talents that didn't make it to this round, but didn't have the tear jerking properties that this kid had
otherwise it'd be 6 to 10k people filing in front of the judges, which would take MONTHS for one city
dude, you can sing? or you just go to be funny/try to get on tv? lol i wanna see a video of that!
yes i sing. no way in hell i'm recording that LOL
So you try to get on a show where you would be singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people but refuse to post a video that would be watched by 10 people. Hmmmm, I still think the guy that sang, the guy who grew up poor and loves his grandma, should win!
LMAO! I thought it was something original. I honestly never seen this before. I'm changing my vote now. Thanks.
I don't know what the show is called in japan, but there is at least one where they have team compete in this kinda things, like the matrix ping pong. There are some really awesome vids on youtube from that one.
They didn't think out the whole concept by themselves, but probably the first one on the 'got talent' show I think
Other two were good singers obviously, but if they were playing a bar you'd walked into, you'd look at them say "hey they're pretty good" then buy a beer and forget about them.
Common guys, I cannot agree more with psa, we all know he's not going to win but who cares really ? It was a good performance, wether the emotion comes from music or epilepsy, it's the same. People like him, that's the point of america's got talent. Stop hating.
