sigh. its so hard to judge the kite flying thing. if a regular person had done that with no pretty music in the background it would've been laughed off the stage, it really wasn't that impressive
This is probably the first thing we have agreed upon.

I mean I feel for the kid, I'm not exactly sure how hard dealing with epilepsy is, but in the grand scheme of things there's just a time and place for everything, and I think letting him on the show for a mediocre talent just because he's disabled is unfair
lol letting him on the show? i believe they are called auditions. where they let EVERYONE in the show.
granted the kid has not one of the best talents, prolly will be eliminated if america agrees with your post. And there are better acts also so i wouldn't be surprise if that were to happen.
you're joking right? you really think they let everyone in front of the judges? honestly?
I've tried out for american idol 3 times. there is a pre round, before the round in front of the judges, where they weed out the mediocre people (aka THOUSANDS of auditions) then they let through the:
this kid falls in the 3rd category, there were probably better talents that didn't make it to this round, but didn't have the tear jerking properties that this kid had
otherwise it'd be 6 to 10k people filing in front of the judges, which would take MONTHS for one city

Maybe I'm just soulless but if you take away the music and epilepsy that's just a kid with a kite.
Count me in on this as well. I thought it was a moving story, but on a talent show, he's just a kid with a kite and some moving music.
My thoughts exactly. A kid with a disability trying their hand at finding something they can truly enjoy and live by is a very amazing thing. However, in this case it really isn't that entertaining to watch, and what you're really watching is a kid with a disability find himself and be happy.

the ones to blame here are the judges then, why would you bash the kid? he's doing his thing as shitty as it may be to viewers, and yes he can be a viewer magnet.considering his Background story, personality, tear-jerker act, etc. Don't really know why im defending this kid, as i say i label the act as my "favorite"s since it was an "emotional" piefce of act I didn't say he's going to win. In fact he will not.

no one's bashing him. but the topic is too hairy to be ignored, people like to talk.

i'm incredibly natural on stage and in front of cameras as long as its when I'm doing something funny
singing makes me nervous as shiiiiit, but AI brings out the adrenaline to help you perform, plus its strangers sooo yeh X_X

I want those fire-juggling ass bouncers and stuff from the early stages.
Yeah, as much of a talent singing is, it really belongs on American Idol...

my sister's autistic but she can do sick cartwheels, awesome LONG handstands, and finish I-spy's in like 10 seconds, but we're not gonna put her on the show because her talent's aren't as good as other peoples.
still good for him that he was brave enough to do it in front of that crowd.
in 10 seconds really? i might sound like i'm trollin but that's pretty cool lol, i love being able to see others can't with speed. i'm pretty sure living with epilepsy would have to be the most annoying and cruel thing in the world but i think i'll agree with everyone else, it's just a kid with a kite =\
edit: MONION POST A VIDEO WITH YOU SINGING BRO DO IT!
