MY GOD WTF!!!, indeed the best of ALL Kataklysm is the drums, and its not overrated atleast by my ears, what im not a big fan of is the bass, it really could be improved IMHO.
What instrument do you play, have you recorded any demo?, or a video of you playing like Steve did?
BTW the closest encounter i'd had with someone like that was after a concert me and my band were talking with Chad Gray (mudvayne vocalist) and he said i had an insane voice yay! (im vocalist ofcourse)
Zia add me ill pm u

Nononono, it's more of a synth usually. But I say keyboard because my role in a band involves a very power metalesque sound, therefore, keyboard.

Haha, I love maiden covers. 3 popped up in a row.
Cradle of Filth - Hallowed Be Thy Name Iced Earth - Hallowed Be Thy Name Children of Bodom - Aces High

I only liked the one from Iced Earth, couldn't stand that horrible screaming of Children of Bodom and Cradle of Filth. =[
And i thought it wasn't possible to make Aces High not sound awesome.

Arch Enemy - Aces High
Even with Dani's vocals (I hate that band so much), the CoF version really is cool. It's their best song ever.

Damn i just found out this 9 page thread has only 1 page about iron maiden.
I wish more ppl posted Iron Maiden songs, when i first posted here i only knew the Dance Of Death album, wich i listened to becouse some1 said iron maiden was awfull... and when i started listening i loved Iron Maiden forever ^^.
Best songs IMO:
1 - Dream Of Mirrors 2 - Out Of The Silent Planet 3 - Dance Of Death 4 - Montsegur (God i love how this song starts.) 5 - Ghost Of Navigators / Brave New World ... can't decide
Im really interested in IcedEarth's and Fakesteve's top Iron Maiden songs !
ps. I think Iron Maiden and Metallica are both equally (arf my english sucks) good ! (pages 2-3-4 of this thread are just lame) pps. Arch Enemy - Aces High just gave me a headache. arf O_o

I'm not particularly a fan of his vocals. They have a new female singer whose voice closely resembles Chuck Schuldiner, but she can't growl correctly.
And technically, this is all about Maiden. Without Maiden, none of these bands would exist. Iron Maiden is single-handedly responsible for all good metal in existance today. Period.

Wrong, Black Sabbath is. They started it all way back when...

Read more carefully. I said "none of these bands". If you find one mention of Black Sabbath in this entire post, I'll edit mine. Until then, my factual statement stands.

Metallica owes thier early style (their good music) to motorhead and diamondhead.
