Fast-forward to xbox live and the name was taken, but everyone I played with still called me " x " so I wanted a name with the same kind of sound in the beginning. I couldn't find a nice name with just x + something; I settled with ex and then I was like, how do I finish? I was going eXcited? nah. eXcide? ehhh. Bingo, eXtacide! My buddies jokingly call me exercise now and then though haha.

First off, my last name is Chiang, which is the Chinese character for the Yangtze River (literal translation: Long Chiang). Secondly, I wanted to be "one who rives," as in tearing things apart.

also combos of different words are almost always unique so I can use the same username for everything, that's why i was oinkbreath back when I played runescape (no story behind that though)

In "radio-language" you say words instead of letters like alpha, beta, charlie, delta etc. K and L are kilo lima and the swedish "special forces" often (always) have the calling kilo lima on the radio when fighting abroad. Kilo Lima is too much to write all the time and kilo sounds good alone to.

Beloth is an elf that is referenced in the Eragon series (crappy writing I know). He is referenced as Beloth the Wise because he invented a belt that was embedded with jewels where he could embed magic energy in times of peace. He would then use the energy he stored in the belt to help him out during battles.

Lysenko was a Soviet biologist in the late 20s and early 30s who believed in Lamarckism, which was the idea that creatures could strive to be better at something and then pass that on to their descendants. Lamarckism, for example, says that giraffes have long necks because they stretched to get leaves and passed that on to their children genetically. Lysenko ended up being the head of the Soviet Academy of Sciences for a time, and during the Stalin years, biologists who opposed his thinking were murdered by the state, which put a serious damper on the science of biology for many years in the USSR. Seemed like a clever name for Zerg, since they're constantly "evolving" new abilities to respond to things, plus the Stalinist overtones make it vaguely threatening. I kind of like that nobody catches the joke but losing to crappy players, as I tend to, takes the shine off having a subtly aggressive name.
