Heh, started out as Emperor Xen. As a kid I fancied myself a big fan of war and had aspirations to conquer the world, more than likely due to Command & Conquer, being competitive (poor family of 4 brothers, sports) and reading science fiction. Oh the silly dreams we have as kids.
When introduced to StarCraft in '98 I took to playing online readily enough, found my long time man crush in the 'Emperor' of Terran (BoxeR, of course) and dropped the Emperor off out of respect. Xen was too plain and wasn't unique, so 21 is my favorite number, so converted it to roman numerals as xeNxxi which didn't look appealing so just swapped it around to xenixx. Soon found out that there was a computer thingy from Microsoft named Xenix which dampened my spirits a bit, I had thought I had a truly unique ID. I still think it is but who knows.

I used to go by the name Kumori or Selor (some of you may know me from Australian DoTA, CS or WoW). I was playing WoW and a friend of mine who I only knew IRL logged onto my server and started talking to me, he was Fiveotanaka, and was starting on my server. But as my guild had recently disbanded I told him I'd go to his server, so I started there with the name Sixotanaka. We eventually hit the top 100 2v2 + 3v3 + 5v5 ratings in the world under 2v2 and 3v3 name Tanakarama, in addition to gaining a lot of infamy.

As time passed, Fiveo quit gaming to have a more complete social name, so I kept the name as an homage to him, and all the fun we had in WoW. Plus, I think it has a nice ring to it, and I may eventually drop the tanaka part, but I think I will be Sixo 'till I die. People have even started to call me this IRL xD!

about 10 months ago, i was chilling with a friend, he is 2 years older then i am and he showed and taught me how to play starcraft 2, and he told me all about korean pros and brood war, and my favourite colour to play the AI with was yellow, and he told me about the korean pro YellOw and i was like omg that name is baller and i didnt want to copy YellOw so i used YellowSC and it works for every single username i need ever since, but i did change my name to CorrosiveTD in starcraft 2 because me and a friend were gunna start a team because we thought we were good so we chose Corrosive and our initials LOL

Newbie#1 was the default name on another game I played. As a joke I made my name |NN|Newbie#1 (NN being my clan) and the title Newbie#1 stuck in that game eventually replacing my old id. When i got starcraft and there were no numbers my name became NoobieOne

Varpulis is a storm god in eastern european mythology. I needed a name for quake live a couple of years ago because my planned name (one of Odin's ravens) had been taken. So I searched something like Czech Mythology on Wikipedia and picked a god from that page. The name rocks, so I've kept it.

If you look down at my signature, you'll see my other ID, which I use when I don't feel like calling myself Varpulis. Oystermeister is the latest permutation of The Eldest Oyster, which was inspired by Lewis Caroll's The Walrus and the Carpenter, which is one of my favorite poems.

My forum name isn't the same as my BNet ID. My ID for BNet is SoundVU.

I'm a big audiophile. My last name is Vu. So, I did a play on words with VU being volume units. Hence, SoundVU.

Mine came from a song name by the band STS9.

According to Wikipedia it "is the word for a spiritual or divine being in Ainu mythology." Whatever that is!!

While I don't listen to the band as much as I used to the name stuck because I haven't seen another Kamuy ever in all my gaming and I like its simpleness.

Have had this since diablo.. made it to mean like demon killer or something. Thought it was a cool name so I use it for everything now. Most people think I got it from the movie Grandma's Boy, since he makes a game named demonik but I've had this way before that movie.

I was very upset with my original tag of "Ghidrah" since i realized it sounded too much like Idra ^.^
I was taking Middle eastern history and I found out about the first and only Akkadian emperor named Sargon, Yet copying someone name seemed a bit dumb and possibly even taken on most sites.
So I combined it with my ICCUP name of I_Am_Daggoth

Sargon + Daggoth = Zarggoth (Cause Z's always replace S's in Nicknames)

~However my TL name is missing an "n" on accident >.^
