So you learn the language of every country you visit on holidays? Incidently, I try and learn a few basic words/expressions (Hello/please/thanks/ "where is...?" /"how much...?") for every country I visit. And I totally knew I didn't need to when I travelled to Sweden, Norway, or Iceland, as everyone there speaks great English. | ||

The other thing is that Chinese culture is more entrepreneurial compared to others. There is a merchant culture that makes them friendly especially to people with money. And Americans are known to be big spenders as tourists. This is less of a white thing as some European tourists don't spend much. If they think you're American, they'll be really friendly. | ||
