This incredible and unbelievable story began at about 5:30 mark oif the video.
Here's a summary on the story, i'd strongly suggest u go through the video for more details about this, basically Scott Lopper is a retired Sheriff from New Jersey that moved over to Canada with his family to live there. He discovered there's a cocain ring run by the local police authority and begun to investigate into it by himself, and he got arrested on a charge which was based on no proof at all by the local authority.
After he got arrested, he was tortured by the canadian authority for seven months without being brought forward to a court, wasn't given the chance to contact an american consulate nor was he given the right to have a lawyer to represent him, He was tortured because the canadian authority wants to know the results of his investigation into the canadian police drug ring.
After being dropped over the american border after 4 years of illegal incarceration, and this is where the story gets interesting, after he returned to the US he gets a lawyer and head towards the congress and demands justice be done with the canadian authorities, and basically the congress replied by saying, they aren't gonna do anything about this case because of the political ties between the 2 countries is at stake....
This is just a rough summary i'd strongly suggest u go through the video to catch all the details i've left out...
This is un-fuking-believable that it happened at all almost at the border of bullshit. Can someone from Canada comment on this? if its possible if u could link any relating articles from your side of the story to see wtf is really going on? Seriously, this is one of the most fucked up things to have happened in Canada and the US, i wouldn't be surprised if this happened in another country.... but Canada? sheesh...
As an american I feel obligated to report that I too have received equal treatment from Canadian people and can fully sympathize / confirm this is well within their ability as a people.
I am Canadian and feel the need to comment that I have felt the spiteful sting of Americans and feel that if this occured, which it surely did not, it was surely justified. Surely.
"Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance"
i don have anything against canadian people, i'm having a hard time believing this as well, but shrugging this off without even have a look at it is just ignorant...
i'm actually looking for evidence to refute this story... because i don't want to believe this is real. And this isn't just about Canadian authorities but also the ~American government reluctance to react to this issues even though they knew what has happened to this American citizen. IE. collusion between the 2 governments to cover this up, and please please please at least have a look at the videos.
They probably arrested him for illegal surveillance. Also, if he has these things recorded, why isn't he publishing them?
he was arrested out of the blue and was thrown out of the country without any of his possesion with him? how would u feel if u are arrested in a foreign country without a right to contact ur consulate at all regardless of what ur crime is? O.o
I am from Brazil. I will comment that I surely do not believe in Chill, he's lying and should be removed from the website. I haven't watched the video either.
I am from America. The best country in the world, with the strongest military. I do not see how our neighbors to the north could treat our people like this. Americaaaa!
I too have not watched the video. However, if it is on youtube it must be real.

Bold words...
I also find this rather hard to believe not because I don't believe that it could have happened or that Canada is capable of such a thing (of course they are, along with any government) but rather because the Canadian authorities would have done a better job at silencing him.
I don't believe it. I have always felt Fox news was more for drama and entertainment than actual facts, which if you look back of some of the other ridiculous things they're made a deal about I'm sure anyone would agree.
I am from Olympia, WA. For anyone who knows about Olympia and the Evergreen State College you should know that I am not equipped to offer a legitimate opinion on the state of either of our nations. I have not watched the video.
