 The awesome streak of not losing (6 months) had to end sometime I guess. This is just sad. Roma trashed Sampdoria in the first half, Totti was great and had several moments of brilliance (some great passes, cute backheels (the one to Menez, wow) and a nice goal). I think it's the best I've seen him since he single handedly destroyed Fiorentina earlier this season. Buuuuuut they only managed to convert one chance into a goal, got robbed of a very obvious penalty, and then Samp scored early in the second half and went into turtle mode for the rest of the game. Ranieri did everything he could, the last 15 minutes Roma had one of the worst defensively balanced teams I have seen in my entire life, but they just couldn't score or even create any really good chances. They just couldn't. Fuck. Probably my favourite english player atm. He's an awesome player, and he always struck me as being very classy. I was very moved when he scored that penalty against Liverpool one week after his mother died, fantastic moment. It's a shame they didn't win that CL (due to Terry slipping), they really deserved it and it would've been such a great storyline if Lampard had won the entire thing after scoring the game winning goal vs Fenerbache, scoring that crucial goal vs Pool after his mom died and then scoring the equaliser in the final. | ||

Bayern deserved to go to Madrid convincingly. They've got what it takes to become CL Champions. Quality, Teamspirit and most important of all the resolve to win. Bayern vs Inter/Barcelona will be very good. | ||
