In the preseason games Robben looked the better player. I guess I called it ^^ Decent game, ManU tried to bully Bayern around lots of late tackles etc... In the end it cost them the game. I simply cannot fathom why Rooney was playing when he couldn't even run; maybe Ferguson just doesn't have any faith in Berbatov or Macheda but I still think it was a stupid decision.

My main gripe is that I can not see Bayern or Lyon stand any chance in the final against Barca/Inter

Many have thought that Madrid would kickass Lyon and ManU would destroy Bayern. However those two are now in the semis. Barca/Inter may be favourites or even heavy favourites from your perspective, but you can not say that they dont stand any chance against them.

But what counts is the present season not what has been. To be honest Barcelona is against every team the heavy favourite, no one denies that. But still even the best team can lose a single match, where every little lucky thing can count. Even without looking, I guess most of the bookmakers rate Barcelona's title chances below 50%. Therefore I wouldn't declare them already as CL winners. edit: not offending ![]() On April 08 2010 07:04 [NyC]HoBbes wrote: Barcelona will take the rest of this, Arsenal are a better team than Inter and Barça tore them apart in the second game Why do you think Arsenal are a better team than Inter ? I can just make an arbitrary hypothesis that Inter are better than Arsenal cuz Inter beat Chelsea who won vs Arsenal in the EPL. Luckily football is not about transitive relations ![]()

Imo Bayern's defense may be too weak to win against Barca. Bayern can score against any team though. P.S.: It was such a nonsense to sell Lucio to Inter, Lucio didn't even want to go.

I think Inter has the best chances of the remaining teams to win against Barca. On the other hand Lyon or Bayern could very well beat Inter. I think inter will do a defensive + counter attacking strategy on barca, and I think it can work with sneijder + eto'o + milito. I agree. Inter may do play the same way Chelsea did last season against Barcelona. Strong defense and counter attacks with strong individually gifted players like Sneijder, Eto'o etc.. Chelsea almost did it ...
