10 interesting facts from crunching the 2008 season Like kobe bryant was #50 on the dunking list (59) And one source, a sortable table of all the 2008 shooting stats, full of oodles of interesting data http://www.82games.com/0809/FGSORT18.HTM Glen Davis had the same number of dunks as Rondo? (14) Boston's big 5 + glen davis had 151 dunks combined, which was surpassed by #3 on the list, Mr. Iguodala. Rondo (14) + Ray Allen (3) + Paul Pierce (10) + Garnett (68) + Perkins (52) + Glen Davis (14) Boston added rasheed wallace, who had 16. Jesus, they're old. Paul Pierce had 10?

In other news, the Nets seem likely to be purchased by a Russian. The story is of course over-the-top-exalted, as we've come to expect from Voj. The NBA has far stronger rules and trade limitations aimed at maintaining some sort of "parity", so I doubt this will be anything like CSKA in Europe or the Chelsea takeover a few years ago, but who knows. For some reason I can't explain, I really want this guy to spend huge amounts of cash and fail badly. + Show Spoiler + I guess it could be my liking of the SAS stable and non-flashy type franchises. Or envy. Or dislike of a thief living the high life in plain view. Or a combination of the above.
