I also damn near ragequit when I got the first miss, but I knew as long as I passed I would wreck my previous score on that, so I might as well finish it. Still, that started off amazing. Jumps are much easier with a non-tiny cursor! (IMO, anyway.. most high level players with small cursor are those like WWW who constantly play with small circle sizes)

I played with the skin Nexus for ages, but then a friend sent me his skin and his small cursor. Took a while to get used to, but I like it now. Now I've just been playing with a slightly modified version of the default skin (basically just the healthbar is from my o2jam mania skin, which looks incredibly silly flipped sideways.) I kinda miss the semi-transparent hitcircles from my old skin and I'm considering grabbing those off my old laptop.

I really dislike small circle size though lol.

EDIT2: Any suggestions for maps like okaerinasai? It's like the perfect difficulty for me, and I love the patterns in it.

I can't really suggest low difficulty maps very well, sorry :D

Also it's kinda hard to judge your skill from a video that you're doing that well on, need to see dem aim/speed/timing fails, but it looks like you might benefit a lot from relaxmod practice (or experimenting with autopilot)

New area seems a little promising:

I'm also finally starting to put a dent in the list of 0108 maps you have me. Knocked out that, black rebel, freedman (nouk) and super shock the last couple days. Was literally on the last 5 notes of BSPower Explosion and failed yesterday, so hopefully that will be added to the list soon.

Yeah, just the 0108 diff. My streams have gotten a lot better recently, but I still completely bomb anything longer than 15 notes most of the time, so extra is out of the picture for now.

my record before that, from like 3-5 days ago was ~113 after spammed attempts to lower it. It was worse with HR too, so i improved it a lot and also stopped derping on HR nearly as much

yes that pen grip is uncomfortable as fuck, trying to fix it

Yeah, I figured it couldn't have been all from someone here. And yeah, it wasn't exactly freezing, as I had thought when playing. Though I SWEAR at least one of those misses is on osu.

Yeah, I have lag issues as well. The screen freezes for a little bit, and compensates after a time feeling like 0.3 seconds or so. Sometimes it's possible to still hit everything if you just continue as if the screen continues during the lag, but most of the the times I'll correct out of reflex. Does that sound similar?

I'm not completely sure. When I play standard, my eyes are always a bit ahead of my cursor, so I don't completely see what's going on when it happens. I've never hit anything correctly when it does happen though. The miss I'm blaming osu for though isn't from the cursor freezing, but osu seems to randomly ignore keypresses occasionally. I've had quite a few times where osu seems to just ignore a keypress.

around half of my minutes watched overall came from youtube searches, so i'd get a lot more views/subs if i named stuff better

osu! does freeze, but much less if you've already played 5-10 standard maps

transition to od10 is a nightmare, i eased into od9/9.67 with some singletap maps but i think no matter what i do this is just gonna take a few weeks of pain

Yea they outright blocked some of my vids

^these follow points seem very advantageous for reading super high AR's (particularly stuff without lots of circles) - i've noticed rrtyui, www and some others using them (just a single followpoint png, not an animation sequence)

You can see a not-insignificant amount of time into the future with them. As the time in that video transitions to around ~1:00 for example, two followpoints appear from the slider end to the next two jumps before either of the hitcircles are visible.
