i single tap most stuff, but im starting to alternate on sliders that overlap eachother.
i dunno ive always alternated, just the way i started playing really. i never got the point of single tapping, i tried to do it for a while but my acc is just so much better alternating and i cant single tap dt maps lol

Most of the time i dissect a song into 2 categories: all non-stream objects and streams. (in my definition, in very slow songs streams can be easily single-tapable.) streams are always alternated, while with non-stream objects, it depends on the structure. For example, a slider and a circle, or 2 sliders quickly after each eachother are alternated. I find that quite convenient. I always try to single-tap as much as possible, knowing my limit to single-tapping has not been reached yet. I play classical piano a lot, and there too, i seem to have a tendency to try to do things with single fingers as much as possible during mutliple of the same notes, even when it's a bad way to play in that particular piece.
Know my level is not quite high, i barely manage to get 60% at the song in the video above. So i don't know if it's efficient or not. Or bad in other ways.

For 1/2 notes I'll usually tap with Z for a few notes and then X for a few notes to avoid the strain on one finger for the whole song, it's the only way I can even remotely manage to get through faster songs since I tap really slowly anyways
I'll also alternate on 1/4 notes on maps below 120 bpm
so, after a bit of testing, it turns out i can tap normal n streams with a good acc (around 97-99%) up to 140'ish bpm, but my finger gets really tired from it lol - at 270+ im forced to alternate on most notes aswell, as i cant keep up anymore.
just for shits n giggles, i tried to tap russian snow dance.
could have gone better
edit - after failing this song on the last spinner/the last few notes over 20 times, i finally did it.
