I'm really tempted to join you guys, but atm I'm stuck carebearing it up in a bunch of drakes crushing level 4s and drinking beer. Which so far is about the depth of my Eve experience.

If you're doing it and drinking beer for the fun of it, then by all means continue. :>

-How much time would you need to devote to the game? -How steep is the learning curve? -What timezone are people usually around at?

Just a few questions though: -How much time would you need to devote to the game? -How steep is the learning curve? -What timezone are people usually around at? You can devote as much as you like, because training is in real time, you really can be away for days at a time with no worries, or the opposite you can farm missions/mine 24/7 for isk. Learning curve is pretty steep, takes quite a while to learn enough to say "Okay I totally get this game" I know I still don't, but I know enough and have a lot of fun. I'm US and get plenty of action for pvp and interaction with my EU TZ mates, who are definitely the more vast player base. Don't let TZ stop you, you'll always have stuff to do!

How difficult is it to pay for the subscription with in-game money? Could you fight/play/pvp when you're online and then farm when you're asleep?

Paying for sub with in-game money is definitely possible but it would take a complete noob at least 6 months? That may be underestimating it too, pvp can cost a lot of money depending on how ya do :p Also, no, you can't farm while asleep, it's called botting and will get you banned. Nah won't take 6 months. We've had people able to pay for their first month with isk with a little time and effort put into making isk (about 10-15 hours from when they first start).

I've read the 75% of the main post that seemed relevant to my situation. Including "If you already have an eve account and are interested in joining the Hatchery: - Join channel SCBW and ask for a Hatchery director - Tell him your story" So first what I did was send you a pm inside eve online (That's what it says on the corp description btw .. talk to Kwark) in order to demonstrate the fact that I already have an account. Then I open Teamspeak and go the Broodwar channel and pm you (How the hell am I supposed to know who a "HATCHERY DIRECTRRRR" is) with the following message: "Hi, can I join?" After 10 minutes of no response I think to myself hey they're having an epic battle so it would be best for me to just pm another admin saying that he should get back to me when he has time, so I did PM to tofucake Hi, please get back to me once you have the time. I'd like to join the corp. Then I stick around in Teamspeak Broodwar channel for 3 minutes longer just to get an overly encouraging "No" from Kwark.. like we don't give a spacey fuck about you now get the fuck out of here because I am god. So I make a slightly satirical rhetoric remark : "Oh, It's because I'm romanian sisn't it :'(" Yes i wrote sisn't. I leave the channel pretty frustrated with the way people like to stall other people and rid them of their momentum. After 3 minutes I get a mail inside Eve "read the tl post" no greetings no hey dude, we would love to have you or even something like wow you're a human being like me, I best not be actting like a dick and explain why I was so repellent towards a fellow TL member. So i wrote what I did and I can't say i regret it as I found you parading this as an example of how funny you are.
