Prom is sort of right on the amarr one. Obviously for solo you cant fit a cap booster to use the neuts too much, although dual small neut is still really really good for anyone who tries kiting in scram range (cough td attack frigates cough). For gangs though, you can just fit a cap booster and all neuts. Also, with faction neuts, or c-type noses you can outrange medium neuts. However, he is dead wrong on the minmatar and caldari ones. Light missiles are getting a fitting buff, and he forgot MAPCs exist. | ||

Lets start with the new Amarr destroyer (and only the amarr destroyer because reading his comment made me so mad that I stopped): Neuts are fucking overpowered in frig 1v1s especially vs multiple neuts. if your frig needs cap to attack it will not and can not ever brawl with the Dragoon. I would not even fit guns on it. Think of it sort of as a brawling sentinel. He goes on to claim that you will have cap problems with it. I guess we play a different eve where noses does not exist. a 4 neut 2 nos ab Dragoon have cap for 1 minute and 42 seconds. It will neut a hawk our in 13 seconds. Did I mention that it's a hawk without a single mod active at full cap. Let's try something bigger. A Omen navy will last 40 seconds under 4 small neuts. Actually most mwd cruisers will cap out at around 40 seconds. This is assuming full cap and most know that that will never happen since they will cycle mwd a bit etc. Did I mention that the Dragoon manages to do 180 dps while destroying all opportunities of having a active tank on the target. You either kite a dragoon or you die. There is no outbrawling vs 4 small neuts and since the neuts have range bonus most assault frigs will be totally capped out before they even get into nos range. The large drone bay on the Dragoon lets you field two damage drone flights and a dishonor flight while you cap out your enemy. a 4 neut 2 nos ab Dragoon have cap for 1 minute and 42 seconds. This wont work in a 1v1, since neuts neut more than they use of your own cap, and you dont get cap back when nossing someone with lower cap than yourself. Edit: But yeah, I agree that the dragoon is good. Not as good as you think though. Hawk and wolf both have projection and capless guns. Ishkur has the same drone power, but better tank. Veng has capless guns, and buffer fit, ridiculous hp. Harpy, enyo, jaguar all die to it I think, unless specially fit. Obviously they all have problems holding tackle, so you can disengage, but thats not the same as winning. Also, for laughs, you can fit a med neut. | ||
