Inital download is 24.4 MB then once its installed you have a patch of 1.6 GB. Doesn't take very long honestly. If you're running at 10mbps connection shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. [Update] Next patch after the 1.6GB is 14GB of the game assets.

Also your math is way off for a 10mbps connection downloading a 24 GB file in 20 minutes.

Helps if you actually read what people say. As for the Non-Disclosure Agreement, since its against the policy, explain to me why people Stream Dota 2 and its NDA policy is against it?

Let's see how this plays. edit: Where can I get the client? The email just says I'm in and the website is down for maintenance, lol! You're not missing much. The download is so long. 24.4 MB initial, then a 1.6 GB download, then another 14 GB. Then a install then another 10-12 GB download.

I'm not interested so I don't know the ins, outs and possible tricks of the thing, but I thought someone might like it. All info can be found at their site: http://uk.games.ign.com/articles/121/1212228p1.html?utm_campaign=twposts&utm_source=twitter Be sure to read every fine print you can find about, like if you need to get an entire year or the 3-months one is enough. Again, I'm not interested so I didn't gather any of this info on my own.

edit- bit the bullet and got owned by IGN. Instructions for key redemption: 1) Visit www.swtor.com/redeembetacode and login to your Star Wars: The Old Republic account or create a new one and opt-in to the game testing program (www.swtor.com/tester). 2) Redeem your Beta Testing Code (above). 3) Enter your code prior to 11:59PM CENTRAL STANDARD TIME on Friday, 11/18/2011. 4) You will receive an invite with your gameplay dates at a later time. Invites will be sent to the email address associated with your Star Wars: The Old Republic account. Please add the email address no-reply@bioware.swtor.com to your 'safe senders' list in your email client to ensure delivery. As far as I can tell that is just another weekend beta worded as a permanent closed beta invite so people get suckered in like me.
