lol, I just dueled again, score was like 20-0 (me losing). Found out 75% through the duel that I had my earbuds in backwards. Now I understand how the guy kept appearing where I least expected him

To be fair, this was my "main game" before I started caring about SC. Q3A always held a special place in my heart as the best FPS to ever grace the pc ~
There's a lot of people who picked the game up and never stopped playing. Luckily for us, most of them live in another country, like fatal1ty (who has an account on QL under the same name) and stermy.

My suggestion is to start off playing FFA & team games to get used to the game, that's what I did o:

it's really hard to get used to a fast-paced game like quake when you've mainly played slow fps games at a high level like 1.6 for the most of your life

To you guys losing pretty badly, you're most likely playing DM6, which is practically the LT of q3, people have played it since the dawn of time, so don't feel too bad. I'd suggest if you lose pretty badly to someone , spectate them vs the next guy and watch how they move round the map.

Also you're going to need to start learning to time items. DM6 for example, both RA/YA are 25 seconds and mega health is 35. It's kind of essential at higher level play to know exactly when an item is coming.

If the enemy has control and you're getting raped. Slow down , use your walk bind, pick up the shards or the stray armor and hit and run them with the rg/rl. You want to keep this up until you can pick up an RA/MH and start to time and gain control again.

I just palyed lots of CTF game and god it was nice.. team was mostly always equal (2 time one team beat the other 8-1

all other game was liek 8-5.. 8-6)
Really great stuff..

I going to by some new headphone and after that.. I wann aduel ppl :D (im not really good but can kill sometime
