Howevaaaaaa, I'm of the opinion that the more goalies the better (I rode first on this system). Your goalies besides Backstrom are kinda meh. Goalie accounts for 5 categories for you. If there's someone good on the waiver wires, I'd look to get him. At the very least, you will dominate W/SV if he's any good. It's not the more the better, it's the quality. If you check our head to head stats in goalie categories me and you are both in top 3 in all 4 of our goalie categories in wins, except you are 5th in SV%. It's not the amount it's the quality, i've been riding on luongo and nabby all year, and on boucher another goalie for a while when nabby was on IR. Really, you could drop bryzy and khabi right now and pick up another winger or two if you wanted.

My team has 16 guys who can account for 6 stats. My goalies are 4 guys who account for four stats. Now take that further, and say that there's over 600 guys league-wide who can contribute those first six stats for offense, and 30 for goalie (or, to get liberal cuz a lot of goalie tandems now, let's say 45 legit goalies and maybe 5 elite) My four guys are gonna have more opportunities per week to dominate those stats. Plus, it helps that I'm a stat nerd and ride the fuck outta waivers and just pick up hot guys, so I'm able to make up the offensive slack Iunno, maybe it's just me, but I always like to stay heavy on the goalies.

I think Halak has been getting more time, hasn't he? I'd imagine Vokun gets starts, since they're in a playoff push in FL, and Yann Dennis is on the Islanders, so yeah. But then again, they don't know how to properly tank a season, and always win this time of year. Check your season stats: You stronger offensively or in net?

But unlike the skater stats, 2 of our goalie stats are averaged. So no, having more chances isn't the same and you can't look at it the same way as if with the skaters. You have 2 solid goalies in kippur and mason, you don't need bryzy or khabi. As for wingsandrock, I woudn't be too concerned about picking up a 4th goalie. If you had to pick tho, I'd pick up Halak. Price has been doing very well, but he could flop over again anytime soon. I don't see boucher getting any starts until maybe near the end of the season, like last two games. Unless of course *knock on wood* Nabby gets the flu again or suffers some minor injury.

I'm looking at the stats now, and next year, I need to do better on getting a scorer who picks up more PIMs. That's been my weakest point that I only started shoring up midway through.

Pft, you could drop Bryzy right now and pick up any of the 5 players with over 150PIM this season =P http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/18001/players?status=A&pos=P&cut_type=33&stat1=S_S_2008&sort=5 You have two, three even with Khabi back at full health star goalies. Khabi's a bit old but he'll get you good games still. Bryzy, not so much. We are both proof that two STAR goalies in this league will do it for you in goalie stats. Let's face it, Bryzy hasn't been all that of a huge impact on your goalie stats and chances are if you were sitting goalies, he was prob one of the ones you sat the most.

Surprisingly, no one bit this year when I had four good and great guys, and we had quite a few teams with shit in net. I had one bite, Biron for Campbell at the beginning of the year...:D

Man, Philly really has never settled down with a goalie for a long time since Hextall stopped trying to break the legs of forwards in his crease. I miss that fucker so much

I was hoping Osgood would tank and Detroit goes with Conklin but it doesn't seem likely as of now =/ I think what I need would be a good RW or a good D-Men There was a shortage of good RW this year, and there is always a shallow pool for D-Men. At one point I had 5 LWs all of which I really did not want to let go. Krejci and Ray Whitney for Iginla, people vetoed, so I took a month or two and settled for Setoguchi instead. Sadly he's more than cooled down, he's frigid...sigh.

Babcock said earlier in the season they'll rotate goalies every game then near the end he'll give Osgood more starts to get warmed up for the playoffs. I'm not sure if Halak will get the starting job..especially when it's close to the post-season cause isn't Price their franchise player? Edit: Someone just dropped Marc-Edouard Vlasic (SJ - D), Dennis Wideman (Bos - D) and Thomas Kaberle(Day-To-Day) Are any of those better then my current D-men right now? I'd pick up wideman, boston has just cooled down that's all, but if they pick it up again I'm sure wideman will do well too. I don't watch em often, but if i'm not mistaken he's on their first pp, half his points are off the pp so yah. He was also seen practicing, so his knee should be ok. Don't bother with Kabby, i don't think he'll rush back to play, Leafs don't expect to make it to the off season anyways. As for Conklin or Halak, well Conklin has been okay right now and Osgood is on fire, so I'd go with Halak, who might get to start again if Price is terrible tmrw. If Price isn't terrible, stick with Conklin.

Also, PHI finally decides Briere can get off the 4th line, the day after i drop him. Also, Price seems to have given Halak another chance at starting.
