Get the required ROMs at your favorite ROM sites, I don't think you're allowed to post links to those on TL.net. There are quite a few bugs, but it's all worth it once you find another player with a stable connection. Or, if you can't find someone, you can watch the godly Japanese players. EDIT: It's ST and not HF. | ||

Just FYI for those wondering, Stable version of GGPO has Street Fighter Alpha 2 and 3, Marvel vs. Capcom, Vampire Savior, King of Fighters '98, and (beat-em-up) D&D: Shadows over Mystara. But over the last few months the server's been acting up because of the higher load caused by mass Latin American and Chinese users on KOF. edit: I'm pretty sure an unstable release with 3S has been out for a while, but yeah. Publicity of the unstable releases is kept way lower for a variety of reasons. | ||

I got mine for about ten bucks on Play-Asia, look up "Super Joy Box 3 Pro" freelander: To play 3S, you need to download the sfiii3.zip and sfiii3n.zip files, then put them in the "roms" folder. Bill307: Better find it fast, because it says in the 3S lobby "Welcome to the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike room. This is mainly just for kicks. Do not expect 3s to become a supported game in build 28," which is why I posted here. | ||

No more trifling with Mame and dealing with 5 frame delays. No more waiting 15 minutes for an opponent to join my game. I'm extremely satisfied with it.....now I only wish I was actually good at SF3 :D. | ||

Yea it works great so long as you have under 100 ping or so (so it works best if you play people in your same country). | ||
