I know this isn't exactly on topic, but how is that new DC vs Capcom game? Is it viable as a competitive game? Is it fun?
I'm thinking about buying it for my brother.

To clear up any possible confusion, you're probably talking about Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on Xbox 360 and PS3? There's also a very recent Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on Wii in Japan. Supposedly it's pretty good for a MK game; however, even if it were viable as a competitive game, the fact that 2008-2009 is stacked with a lot of quality fighters and the MK brand don't bode well for its continued competitive popularity. Don't know anything about it myself, but somebody else should.

I don't foresee anything involving Mortal Kombat becoming competitive any time soon. In the past, at least, the lead designer for the MK games put more importance on shallow amusement over deeper gameplay, e.g. choosing to make projectiles fly through each other because it "looked funnier that way", disregarding any impact on gameplay.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom might be played competitively, though.

One of the Tekken guys in Austin said that DC vs. MK "isn't that bad" and that it's maybe at least better than Dead or Alive (though without the eye candy appeal)? Not exactly a glowing endorsement but it's not bad for what it is, I guess.

TvC is getting more and more broken really quickly.

Alex Wolfe vs Damdai: This matchup came about from how STHD Akuma is rly strong or w/e. From srk irc guys Alex Wolfe was quoted as saying (14:29:06) (Bunkei) Alex Wolfe said "if he can beat me with Akuma, I'll be impressed" Something I forgot it was cool lolz.
