so me and my friends are playing in a tournament tomorrow at a local LAN center, supposed to be some good players. heard some decent players from NaFu are gonna be there - 0-;;

i was thinking of playing meepo in a few of the games, but i've never played him before in a league type setting so Im trying to get some advice on how i should do the bans and picks.

i think itd be best to choose meepo towards the end so they wont counter pick too hard. the thing is when i do bans, i dont want to make it really obvious that i might play him.

what heroes should my team ban while not making it obvious to give meepo the best game potential? i was thinking of lich and possibly es, but nobody bans lich so just by banning lich it might make it obvious

I think your two most important heroes to ban are Lich and ES. Lich completely messes up Meepo big style. Another hero you might not want to play against is DK. His Breath and ulti splash can hurt alot.

What you need to be careful, as you said is not make it obvious you want to play meepo, because they might turn round and pick him! Another hero to think about banning is Lina.

Could try Chen. His ulti heal pretty sick for Meepo

Also by taking Chen you can jungle him, leaving Meepo to have a solo lane and get his lvl 6 clone out asap for fast exp. Risky mind you vs good players. Maybe Zeus, Chen, Meepo, Omni, Lion could be yummy. A push strat to mix in with your mid game raping Meepo.

Just a thought. Maybe someone can point me to a flaw in this line up?

Will the map be 6.56 ? If so with my line up above. Ban, DK, Lycan, Lich, ES - in that order =] You could switch omni with a stunner like Nessa if he is banned

Ban admiral only.
Crush the rest.
Let them feel your power.
Just make sure someone wards for you for extra efficiency. Teams cannot coordinate themselves that well, and meepo kills people fast before others can come and help in time. And by the time theyc ome help, they are offering you a double or triple kill because they are coming in 1 by 1 or 2 rather than the 3v1 that is needed.
If you fear any hero, you should not be playing meepo without more practice.

Rather than ban heros that help you, ban heros that can still annoy your team because you shouldn't fear ES's or lich's. Ban people that may take the game control from your hands and put it into theirs, like beastmaster.

Do you guys have your own vent server? If not, I'm paying for a 35 person vent server that no one really uses right now, so you guys are welcome to use it for TL dota.

Ive been an admin in multiple vents, but as long as you just made 3 channels (TL, Scourge, Sent sub channels) i dont think we would need an admin.

Just in case you have to move/kick/ban people, or to temporarily set a password on a channel if you were going to play a scrim/match. I PMed the admin password to Paper and Testie. They can give it out to 1-2 more people if needed.

Testie doesn't EVEN USE Vent.
Ryugie BARELY PLAYS.

Me and Alven are ALWAYS on Vent when we play, I only leave Vent if no one else joins.
