pretty much. spectre seemed to have a losing streak at the end of DMT though and morph/weaver were the winning picks. enchantress also snuck herself into a few winning games.
i thought 6.71b is a pretty terrible version to watch, weaver is just too stupid (especially swarm) and morph has still shown to be too stupid, with manta/replicate nerfed, chinese decide to abuse linkens/bkb on him. the new ban system pretty much guarantees that one of these heroes will get into the ban pool since theres way too many annoying heroes atm (doom, lich, brood, invoker, aa, etc etc).
smoke only makes things stupider (10% ms too much, 40 sec too long), either nerf the item or make it more scarce to buy. it didnt change whether people farm or not, just what heroes they chose to farm with.

As far as I know he was just messing around, he is terrible at LoL but that could explain why he was on a couple hours before the honor finals started...
It doesn't seem likely to me that he would switch simply because he will not be able to compete seriously for any tournament until fall, I suppose he could join yM since he had good relations with them but that's the 3rd-4th team in terms of skill, and they are only going to be around until GW2 comes out. WCG spots are locked, his tryouts with TSM basically failed pretty badly. A lot of money is going into LoL but unless you are a real top player you aren't likely to see any of it.
Not to mention that just a few months ago he commented on a Milkfat thread saying that competitive LoL was a joke and that he "owned everyone".
