I play on dotacash casually with friends. ELO/stats are a running joke pretty much. If I cared I'd get vouched for dcihl but as it is it seems its the same 15 players playing the same 15 heroes in sparse games and most are some unknowns or dxd rejects. Tier 2 and tier 3 games are also too sparse to bother with.

Yes, hopefully DCC becomes more reliable but it's actually great when it works (Hosting public and private games through the interface, little low latency and disconnect protection.) As far as the 3am thing goes, DC is so popular there's constant tier 1 games all day. You won't ever have trouble filling a tier 1, in fact it's hard to get into the same public game with a few friends in tier one so you'd have to host your own. Yes, people do stack KDR but mostly it doesn't feel that different than Garena pubs. ELO doesn't matter much. Also, you don't have to keep making more accounts, even after you make it into t2 or t3 you can keep playing t1, it's different set of stats. Honestly if we can all get DC working it's probably easier to get pub games started than garena. (Don't have to worry about not seeing hosts or joining full rooms). The obvious problem is a few people have trouble setting up DCC, although if you have legit cd keys that's not an issue.

As far as tier3 goes, I'd estimate 50% actual good players, 25% lucky scrubs who somehow got vouched, and 25% oldschool players who probably should practice in pubs. There are some well known players, but it's not exactly the same calibre as MYM champions league.

Shit on throneit at "3-5am eastern" games would take forever to fill up but dotacash is usually instant fill's for games and here I was assuming casual DOTA games were dying out.. What's wrong with your client? I actually play on the client as well so maybe I can help. Actually I wouldn't say its subjective. Both clients are very active. I think you can get into games equally fast on both. Just because it's 3am in NA doesn't mean people aren't playing. 3AM on west coast is 6AM so people will wake up to DotA, and 3AM on east coast it's only 12am on West so ezpz. Trust me, I've played up till' 8am (don't ask) with breaks in between and there's always been a game. I mean, if we're up playing DotA, I'm sure there are other players playing as well. The games actually get better as the night gets on cause the more "hardcore" players are up late at night.
You don't have to keep remaking accounts, why would you need to? It's not like you're forced to play in T2. You can continue playing in T1 games. I've seen some pretty decent games playing with people in the 1500+ ELO range. Though Alia is probably the highest I've seen with 2002 ELO. There's only one T2 game at all times anyway, at least from what I've seen in the client. Usually there's 2 AP/RD/AR games during the day. When one starts another appears almost instantly. I haven't played in T2 or DCIH games, but I remember Jing to be a fairly strong player and he's only mid-ranked in T2.
Last thing I have to say about the mannerisms in DCC, it's actually not that bad. Like obviously there will be the occasional douche but it's generally quiet or fun teasing/gloating. There's probably a manner rule or something in place.
