For people in Toronto, if anyone is free between 6:30-9:30 come on by York University for a charity event/concert. It's called "Capstone" and it's an annual charity event hosted by ambassadors of Pond Road residence, Global House (international). Tickets are 5 bucks and you get dinner along with various performances. We are raising funds for Japan's current crises. There will be characature drawings, portraits, henna, and other services available as well that will help towards the cause. If you can't make it but are interested in donating contact me for some information. What's the difference between donating to us instead of just the other organizations?! I'M PART OF THE EVENT OBV, SUPPORT MEH TOO. So if ANYTHING you can come watch me embarrass myself as the MC of the event! I was thinking about magmus as a solo vs a trilane the other day. The only real problem I could think of is that he would get less farm than even pharoah, even though he can probably live more easily than pharoah after he gets a point in steambath. What I mean is, how is magmus going to be effective without even red boots even if he can get to level 6 or 7 at a fairly normal time? It seems as though it would be impossible to ever get any ck with him vs competent opponents. (I would think the ideal situation to pick magmus is when bubbles is banned and the trilane can kill anyone else so no hero could get farm in that situation, something super offensive like hammer pyro myrmidon, as magmus has two disjoints. Maybe hag would need to be banned as well for him to be the best hero vs that.) | ||

It's all relative. I've used sandking soloing the long lane for very specific reasons so what I'm saying is partially theorycraft but he's like darkseer in a way: Doesn't need to level up fast the entire game. Is capable of catching up in farm pretty fast after a slow start. Very good at clearing creep waves to defend towers. Above average survivability. Also, bubbles doesn't fare much better than your average solo against a trilane (long lane). Hag is even worse. Soloing vs a trilane on the long lane is much less about not dying than it is making the most of what you can when you are given the opportunity (creep wave finally enters tower range, supports leave to roam and is 1:1). Notice that the most used heroes for soloing the longlane against tri are enigma and darkseer, heroes that have no blink. | ||
