Well, I guess Judicator said it more bluntly than I did, but each team has their own way of handling things. My way is certainly not the best way, but it is one way ;P
I think its really great what your team did, and I actually wanted our team to do that replay sync thing, but some people didn't wanna take it that serious lol [ our eventual downfall ] but that's a really great tool to improve and get feedback. The best thing though is to learn what your teammates thought and you can critique that thought process or try to understand what your teammate is going to do when you don't have time to communicate [ or you don't like using voice chat ;P ] that way you can react or position your hero accordingly.
Just get together a solid game plan that you can all agree on for the most part and execute it. That's really all higher level dota is imho boiled down to simplest terms. And as for your teammates not playing heroes they are 100% comfortable with, you got two choices.
A: Play that hero yourself and carry the role of that hero like a beast.
B: Make them learn that hero.

Or in this case, PL, LOL. Although I agree with you, I don't think PL is that good.

it's was kind of funny
Heen, there were good lessons to be learned in game 1 and game 2 on teamwork on Lost.eu and NV's part. That second game especially on maintaining composure when all but 1 lane worked out decently well.
