Nobody really uses all 8 buttons anyway, except for menu navigation. Actually, the Viewlix is a 7-button layout with the top-right button plugged for SF4. 2. You can get a replacement button cheap obviously. 3. If you don't want to wait, $12 can easily buy soldering iron + solder to connect the button if you don't already have it. A job as easy as this requires no expertise or technique. 4. Depending on what the break looks like, if there's enough metal on the button to wrap around, you could just strip the wire (can use teeth for that) and wrap the end around/tape up that connection. It might not break down for a while.

It might not break down for a while. yeah what happened was i was trying to pull off the connector to the old button, and somehow managed to break off the terminal it was on with it. so there is junk in the connector and it's stuck there 0_o I'm fine with going 6 buttons. Since the one I broke was the R2 button, I just used the connectors from the L2 button. so it works, it's just I have to remember my L2 is actually in the R2 spot, which isn't a real problem.

To be more clear about what I said earlier, you can cut off the bad quick disconnect and just use that wire directly. You'd then need to strip off a bit of insulator from the end of the wire to expose the metal, of course. Since the new button has intact terminals, it wouldn't be much trouble to connect the shortened/stripped wire that used to have the quick disconnect with the button terminal. If it works now and you're fine with it, it works though. I'm not the one using the stick. ;o edit: On October 27 2009 14:29 A3iL3r0n wrote: If I was going to get a console just for SF4, which would be the better one to get? PS3 or 360? If you're not getting it for PC...probably PS3 if you're going to be playing online and don't care about any other games. Online service for 360 costs a monthly/yearly fee--I forget the exact amount but I think it's like $60 a year.

PS3 is the cheaper console with no monthly fee and allowing your usb headset etc. The going theory is 360 is slightly better online. No idea how legitimate that is. What is legit is that 360 is the more popular system, so its more to easier to find 360 users than ps3, and there are usually more of them. If the slight price difference (~$40 a year for online) doesnt mean much to you and you don't care for other console games, 360 is usually the better bet. That said, when in that situation earlier this year I opted for ps3 for the stuff not named SF4. At first it may be just for SF4. After a while though you'll probably want to take advantage of your next gen system (for netflix, blu rays, popular games, streaming porn in your living room, etc.). Try to keep that in mind lol On October 27 2009 15:14 anch wrote: Show nested quote + On October 27 2009 14:29 A3iL3r0n wrote: If I was going to get a console just for SF4, which would be the better one to get? That reminded me, if you plan on using the console controller, I'd get a ps3. Playstation controllers (d pads and button layout) are much better suited to fighters.
