My thoughts.. The matches were a letdown, I didn't think the WC team would lose that badly and the consolation Alternate West Coast team playing against random characters was just whatever, it particularly felt depressing that East Coast team didnt even want to play and then picked random characters. I mean it woulda been cool if they didn't wanna run it back if this shit was for a bunch of money but its just for spectator fun? 3000+ people watching with the stream and ppl in the venue combined and they didn't even have the desire to give people some entertainment? Considering they play all the fucking time its just sad. Like "Nah, we know we play this shit all the fucking time and this is an opportunity to showcase it, but no."
Even Gootecks was kinda like "Wow I cant make them but it sucks" on the stream and man so true. Kinda poor sportsmanship. I mean maybe if everyone in the venue was like "Fuck you east coast" but i doubt people were like that at all lol.

Well no but most west coast players are just a lot more casual than 4/5 of the east coast team. Add in the fact that Combofiend and Ed Ma don't even GO to tourneys outside of the big ones, let alone really get in on practice sessions.. The problem is really that while the West Coast as a whole is fairly level in skill, the east coast just has 3 players who are absolute monsters because of how much effort/time they put into the game and Sanford is just really good and got the easiest match up twice in a row tonight.
I dunno its not like I didn't think Justin would basically own the whole team, but when you have people like Mike Ross not able to win in fairly easy match ups its just pretty obvious that things are not gonna go well.

No, it is because the EC players got better. There is no excuses for the WC team. WC team simply got outplayed. Some of the EC players went to Japan to train. With all the effort EC team put into their training, this is the result. Want to be the best? Train with the best!

I'm pretty sure Sabin was the only one that went for any significant amount of time.

Ha, that Triforce guy knows his stuff. The last time I heard about people gathering together and living with another to play games 24/7 inorder to improve their skills was in Starcraft.
