In my book, if a man has a direct financial interest in a project and he is tied to the company making it, he shouldn't be allowed to moderate unofficial media resources.
His opinion will be biased regardless of his personal qualities.

I mean yeah, what a car crash. But the sub became almost completely unusable for anyone who liked the game or wanted to actually talk about it many moons ago.

IMO yes, because it's not just that the game is unlikable, it's that the company, especially a member of its C-Suite, was actively disrespectful to its audience throughout Stormgate's development.

And honestly, all of this is just the surface. As discussion continues about Stormgate’s likely inevitable post-mortem, I think FGS’s rhetoric, their community engagement choices, and the insulated environments around the game are going to stand out as major weaknesses; They were full of miscommunications and reinforced by a handful of very aggressive defenders in curated spaces.

I don't like it. I don't want it to become an industry standard like day one DLCs or P2W elements in B2P games did.
If this becomes the norm, my gameplay experience will become severely worse.
What am I supposed to do? I already reported it on Steam for ToS violations, it's still there.
At least, I can highlight their unethical behavior and damage their reputation a bit.
If I don't do anything, that means I am a part of the problem, IMO.

Something weird is happening in Stormgateland.
There's no patch, no update, nobody is saying anything on Reddit or on the Discord. Yet suddenly the CCU jumps from 20 to 140 in an instant, and stays there.
Could just be some weird bug happening on the servers, or maybe Gobsmack is testing something.

Yeah, I also paid $200 for the Kickstarter campaign and bought whatever additional stuff they released on Steam that wasn't included in that pack. I have some amount of disposable income and I wanted to support what I thought was the most promising upcoming RTS at the time. I don't see the money I spent like that as "losses" lol. It might be hard to understand for someone who is so obsessed about a game they hate thay they would create a brand new account on a forum just for the purpose of shitting on that game (in addition to all the shitting on they do in every other platform) and can't let go despite being convinced the game is a failure months (or years?) ago. Maybe just find a game you like and engage with the community of that game instead? That should make you happier.

Our methods have been pretty lenient. I don't think we turned anyone into "haters" lol. Those who turned into haters do like to constantly lie about how they are being oppressed though.

I am not sure if there is even an active mod on Steam. As everyone in this thread and elsewhere, you fail to show any examples of us "silencing" critics. Critics seem to be pretty loud to me.

I am not a mod on Steam by choice. Steam forums are a bit too much even for me. Steam fprums aren't moderated because mods are not active, not because Valve is preventing us from silencing criticis or something lol.
Show me those screenshots. Or better yet, tell me your discord or reddit name and let's see which of your posts/comments got removed and why you were banned (if you were banned).
