On a practical note, there are going to be problems anyway we do this. No one wants to look through all the players and find the ones that are in the 10 mans and look at their (possibly out of date) ranks. It's going to be an inherent issue when you have a captain draft system with new players, random captains, and general laziness of the players (especially me). After the first game people should have a kinda vague idea of peoples' skill levels and if we're actually open to every skill level then the best we can do at any given time (sans actual continual effort from every player) is to make sure we pepper the key 3-4 names around each team.

I guess we can do that by allowing for captains to ask who they should draft, or better yet don't make captains random, give it to the players who know most of the people. This also alleviates the problem of the less skilled players IGLing in an environment that they are completely unfamiliar with.
