First and foremost, what are the prerequirements to joining?

The most important rule is the Golden rule - Just be nice to everyone

There is no skill prerequirement. We accept everyone from people brand new to CS:GO to veterans and pros. It is advisable however that if you are brand new and don't know any thing about the game first, check out the Simple Questions, Simple Answers thread to get started before diving right in.

When you eventually start playing as a newbie, please make yourself known to the team captains as it will help them balance the teams.

For Veteran players: please remember that we may have many newcomers who will have no idea what to do until you explain it to them, and even then they will get it wrong. That's natural, CS:GO is a hard game. You may well have to hold their hand very closely and spoonfeed them every little bit of information in their first games. Embrace it.

FAQ

I am brand new to Counter-strike. Will I be accepted in these inhouses?

We do not have any skill requirements. However, if it is your very first game of Counter-Strike and you know nothing about the game, please at least play a few games against bots to learn the basics (at least the gun control down). Also, make it very clear in the lobbies that you are a new player so that your captain knows that you will need help. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
You are also free to spectate at any time and ask questions there to learn more about the game before you jump in as a player.

I played in invite for a couple of seasons, am i still allowed?

You are free to join, but please make sure that you are aware of what you are joining. Do not come in and throw your weight around - we are a friendly group that cater to newbies as well as the veterans. If you are looking for exceptionally high level games, go back to scrimming .
Remember, don't be a dick.

What server do you guys play on?

We'll try to keep the servers in the midwest so neither of USW nor USE have terrible ping. For EU, we'll try to get servers in central europe.

What game mode do you guys play?

We play the default MR15 with the default times (1:45 round time, 35 second bomb timer) that all competitive leagues adhere to.

When do these usually start, and how late do they go?

It varies from day to day. 10mans tend to start in the evening for the USE timezone, but there are days when it starts earlier or later. They usually continue till the late night for the USW timezone.

Do you use voicechat?

Up to you, it's not compulsory, though heavily recommended due to the nature of counter-strike; We do have CS:GO channels setup on the teamliquid teampseak. a link to this can be found at the bottom left of TL's website. You are free not to join anything and just use CS:GO's own implemented voice chat if you want to.

Someone was being particularly abusive (chat/voice flame, ability abuse, intentional feeding etc) in a game. What do I do about him?

Take a screenshot of the offending messages/actions. If it is not an obvious or one-time-thing then download the replay as well (keep in mind replays don't show teamchat). Send us a message detailing what happened, a list of other players in the game that can back you up, as well as the screenshot/replay if you think it is necessary.

Remember, simple bad play because they don't know better does NOT qualify as abuse.
