I found this forum only because I was actively looking for it when I couldn't find it on LD.

LiquidDota was especially made to have Dota 2 content only (+ the community forums). I don't think CS:GO on LD is gonna happen.

Does this mean it's ok to, e.g., make a GeT_RiGhT fanclub? Will CS streams be on the right sidebar? :D

Yeah I used to just visit the CSGO thread from LD when it was in the Other Games forum. Now that it has its own forum, I gotta come back to TL ;;

I too am a little disappointed that I basically lose the CSGO thread off of LD. I don't see why, with the shared forums including "Other Games", this other game can't stick in the shared forums.
I'd also suggest that there is far far greater overlap between the Dota and CS communities on the Steam platform than there is between the SC2 and CS communities
EDIT: Also somebody familiar with it should totally make a skins-betting discussion thread. It's not my jam at all but betting is HUGE in CS and very interesting.

Finally, somewhere not toxic to talk about CS (I'm looking at you HLTV)

It certainly does feel weird not to be able to see CSGO now from LD.

I second that, I was lurking from there, too.

This is great!
I also agree, however, that it should be possible to access "Other Games" forum from all game-focused liquid websites. Sure, it may be strange for people to see, e.g., the Smash subforum on a Dota page, but it is clearly categorized under "Other Games," and in principle it shouldn't be any less out of place on a Starcraft page, right? I know TL had its attempts to make everything accessible from the original TL site and it did not quite work out, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't some sort of middle ground for cross-pollination between competitive communities. A middle ground that gives access to information/discussion from other games without necessarily diluting the featured news for the main game. Anyway, I am sure TL people have spent a lot of time thinking about these things, so there are probably very good reasons for not including those sub-forums on other TL sites...

Not necessarily a huge GO fan but I welcome this addition.

CSGO is in need of site like TL given that hltv is shit. Make it happen TL.

Finally created an account here, all hail Counter-Strike.

Very cool. Will be nice to have a CS forum that is less toxic than the others. Hopefully TL's aggressive level of moderation will result in a superior forum.

Go to Site Settings on the top left where you sign in, uncheck the "Hide filter buttons in top menu bar", enable the "Other" section next to the TL search bar.
Then it shouldn't be crossed out any more.
Think this was just a left over design of when TL still had dota2 coverage on the main site before branching off to liquiddota and the settings for people kind of stayed, and changed some things around.
