there is an incredible amount of information that a LP for melee would require. There have been several smash players who have attempted to gather some of that information, so they would be good places to start

i think Sveet has posted stuff on TL before so he's a good place to start

Probably a completely new system or something, because as useful as useful as tlpd is, all the extra features like showing trades didn't work out so well. The transition of players from bw to sc2 sticks out to me as being particularly messy in terms of how it was shown on their tlpd pages.

TLPD was ported from an Excel sheet. We've been working on a proper system that will make life easier for everybody. It's tentatively named TLPD2.

Melee really lacks PROPER wiki's with UPDATED information.

We're not really used to all this crazy publicity. Stuff like tutorials and guides are really hard to find right now. A wiki would help immensly.

As someone who's relatively new to the Melee scene (I started watching on a whim at APEX, and I have just watched the documentary last night after Liquid's announcement), I'd love to see a Liquipedia. In learning both the SC2 and Dota 2 scenes, Liquipedia has been a great help; I just look up the matchups and lineups and learn about each player/team as they play. It's been a great help for me before, and I believe a Melee one would be just as helpful for me and others. That and Liquipedia is just awesome :D.

Melee is way too huge for that. There's too much stuff, too much information. Melee definitely needs it's own wiki.

Liquipedia for Melee would be simply amazing, I always admired the amount of work that is put into it. Getting information on Melee has always been quite messy, glad LP is looking at it.

Omfg I will contribute so much if this happens. I love LPD and think it's the only good Dota 2 wiki, having a SSBM one as reliable would help the scene so much, I'm down.

I'd be willing to help as LPD for dota2 and SC2 had been immensely helpful in getting me into following the scene and I'm sure a smash version would be equally great!

A Smash Wiki does exist but it's not really good and not used that much at the moment.
But maybe there is a chance to use articles from that Wiki to start of this new and better one.

If anyone could do it, it's TL. A lot of people will appreciate it, there's just a lot of work to do.
Can't believe I'm back on TL after this long, I would've never guessed smash would find its way here.
