A Melee LP would be fantastic. I had used LP to become more knowledgeable about the SC2 scene, and still find myself browsing articles just for fun ^^ Melee LP would really help bridge the SC2/dota2/HS community, and give a lot of smashers the exposure they'd need to continue or even begin pursuit of competitive smash. 10/10 would forsure love a meleeLP. :D

Question is if you have the people with adequate knowledge and time to do it. No good having a bunch of wrong / lackluster information thats half finished.

As long as everything is sourced, adding info isn't a problem. Staff (myself in particular) will be able to help prune out extraneous bits of pages.

ssbwiki generally is pretty bad, disorganized and out of date. It would be amazing and such a boon to the scene to have a liquipedia quality wiki for smash.

My coding sucks (I always view other sources as templates when I add to Liquipedia) but I would be willing to devote a bit of time to sourcing a bit of information for tournaments no problem.

I think for the scene and its resurgence that everyone seems to be talking about, this would be a potentially huge addition.

I think this would be great with the Smash community coming back to prominence. With our own wikipedia we could do way more than the ssbwiki has been able to accomplish.

Other than just filling out results from majors and more detailed information about players I think we should have a platform for smaller communities to get some exposure as well and this would be a perfect medium to do so. I'm sure that other people from other regions that have little to no exposure would love having a way to have more people exposed to their scene and would not mind moderating and editing their own wikipedia pages.

With Teamliquid already being such a hub for a massive gaming community with the wikipedias that the community has provided and sponsoring two of the favorite players they have already done so much for the community. With the addition of a wikipedia we could push it to the next level. I'm already so grateful for TL for picking up Smash and bringing this game towards a brighter future.

Would love to help with information, but at this stage i personally don't know enough about the competitive scene. But in terms of information on characters and stuff should be fairly easy to fill out.

I think once more people know there is a competitive scene out there (only found out due to liquid picking up players), there will be more interest in it so I believe it is something that should still be looked at, even if its just in a basic form to begin with.

please please please this would be beyond helpful. The current smash wikis are pretty terrible. Very hard to find the information you want. And as hotbid said there is little to no detail on the smashers.

I'll do this. I have some limited wiki experience but more than that I've been following the scene for almost a decade.

Along with the usual wiki stuff the amount of information you can collect about moves (eg. hitboxes and frames, what moves are safe on shield, etc.) is pretty vast.

All the tournament results of the Netherlands going back to 2003 are on smash-bros.nl . Wouldn't mind porting those over into a Smash LP.

Evo 2013 was the first time I watched a fight-game. I was very entertained by watching smash melee & SF & SF4.
I really want streams of it on "right side-bar stream section".

I know we have a "official thread" about fight-games here but I was unable to find any stream

TLPD isn't even an option right now. We are still working on TLPD2 for BW/SC

This'd be super cool, and I'd love to help out. I have a bunch of experience editing Wikipedia, including managing a few WikiProjects; let me know if there's anything I could help with.

One thought- many of the people who would help /don't currently use TL's forums. This might be something to ask in the /r/smashbros too?
