Really enjoyed the pilot episode as well. Not bad, you guys!
I especially liked Anna's and Steph's playing their roles. Gen was her goofy self again and somewhat held up with production issues, while Jade seemed a bit distracted at times or even missing (maybe bored occasionally?). What I really enjoyed was how they actually put some thought into how they would want to tackle a task, unlike the Rollplay gang charging blindly without any questions asked. One could definitely see the difference. Props to you all, as well as to DM Neal!
The most mysterious (and to me interesting) character for now seems to be Anna's December. I was quite fascinated when she introduced herself in the initial bar scene. What I seem to have missed though is what actual classes they play. I guess December is a thief/assassin? Lilly the Halfling is some kind of mage? Jade's character apparently is a priest/healer? And Steph's (Fade?) is a brawler/fighter without any weapons? But then what's with the pirate theme? -- I guess it will clear up once we get to see the character sheets.
Anyways, well done! Had some really good laughs with the "boat party" plan and the dealings with the men in the end, hehe! Looking forward to seeing more of this gang.

Aa far as we could tell, Anna is a thief, Gen is a mage, Dana is a druid and Steph is a monk.

Chat seemed to have settled on these: December is a Thief, Presumably Lily is a Mage (Wizard? Elementalist?) like you said, Aliana (?) is some sort of Druid, and Fe was a Monk.
How was Aliana/Eliana Spelt? Neal had mentioned he didn't like Druids in the version he uses, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

According to this, the names in the first episode were as follows:
December (Anna's char, apparently a Thief) Elianna (Dana's char, apparently a DruidCleric) Fe (Steph's char, apparently a Monk) Lily (Gen's char, apparently a Mage) Kaster (their contractor, one-legged captain with a wooden stump) Corlath (handsome shirtless guy on board the ship, hubby of Vishna, part of Kaster's crew) Vishna (possessive wife of Corlath, part of Kaster's crew) Bertram (not sure who he was) Orlandeau (their main antagonist, the ugly captain) Tom (last man standing of Orlandeau's crew)

Nice work! I really like the Ship's Log section:
Day 1: How to Make Friends In 3 Hours or Less
+ Show Spoiler +- Brought together by Kaster, a peg-legged middle-aged man who is offering work.
- Kaster throws some money around to get the ladies drunk. Disposable cash? (Promised reward for job: 600g each)
- Gen: Halfling, 3'6" ft tall; 20 years old (23 in halfling), 64 lbs, red puffy/wavy hair, green eyes, dressed in red. Tattoos on shoulder visible. (Lily Dudley)
- Anna: 5'2, 100 lbs, nondescript half-elf, pale skin, pale grey eyes, long wavy medium-brown hair, hooded cloak, (December)
- Jade: Long (back) golden hair, pale skin, green "cat-like" eyes. Elvish features. Tattoos up back, over shoulder, partial arms. 5'5, 110 lbs, wearing dark purple. (Elianna)
- Stephanie: Human, appears 16, 5'10, long braided black hair, ass-length, brown eyes, athletic, tanned skin (Fe)
- Fe reveals she is from the "snowy mountains at the top" (Rastagar???), and is a monk on the final steps of her journey to being a monk.
- December reveals to be an orphan, and a exiled secret assassin. Also implies she speaks another language than common.
- Elianna reveals she is from the elvish kingdom of Vathian(sp?); here for vengeance against her lover's killer.
- Lily reveals she is from a travelling carnival/circus. "The Fortune Crystal". Family of fortune tellers.
- Pimperneal Goodbody is Mafia, for certain. Also the reason Lily left her family circus. He's also an Elementalist. Which, it turns out, is pretty much what it says on the tin.
- Lily reveals to have stolen 2 crystal balls from Pimperneal.
- December passes out momentarily (Narcoleptic?) [Actually an Internet Outage]
- Lily reads December's future via a Tarot Reading. First Card: "I see that you have embarked on an adventure, plentiful of booty", Second Card: "You will have conflict with someone with dark hair, soon." Fe has dark hair... Third Card: "Danger"
- December reveals a lost male friend, but does not elaborate.
- Elianna is still in love with her dead male lover, jaded however. (Loss? Hurt?)
- Lily has a brother.
Day 2: Party Boat!
+ Show Spoiler +- Kaster is leading the group on a mission for the map to Dead Pirate Robert's (Robert Blackheart) treasure.
- Kaster's Ship: Single-Mast 40 feet. Crew:
- Bertram. Mute helmsman.
- Corlath, Muscle bound dude.
- Vishna. Corlath's wife. Dark skinned half-elf. Snappy.
- December is the only one of the group that can swim... in a pirate adventure.
- Depart Hawksburg; intercept ship captained by Orlandeau
- Lily reveals spell "Grease"(?)
- OOC, Dana reveals spell Entangle.
- Lesson for swinging across between ships: Have a landing point in mind!
- A lot of not-saying-it-was-groping-buuuut... later, December records the first kill of the campaign with a little stabby stabby.
- Anna's first kill was named Geoff. Stabbed in the gut and throat slit. Freud would have something to say.
- Lily reveals spell Burning Hands... namely by setting a dude on fire.
- Lily the 3'6" halfling kicks someone in the face. Bet you didnt think i'd be writing THAT line.
- The first "named kill" of the game goes to December as well, taking down Orlandeau with a garotte.
- December loots a dagger and a couple of coin bags from Orlandeau's corpse.
- December loots a series of navigational maps, and an unmarked map from Orlandeau's cabin.
- December blacks out mid-combat. Woman either has narcolepsy, or REALLY cant hold her liquor.
- Showing mercy pays off in information from Tom, leading the crew to Orlandeau's previously locked footlocker with cash.
- Elianna reveals the spell Cure Light Wounds(?) {"Heal Bitch"}
- So after a shirtless montage, apparantly you want to be unconcious, it gets you rubbed.
- Kaster knows a guy. A guy who knows how to read a map.
- "I will gladly tie the knot" -Elianna
- Kaa'rorgh - next destination, for next week!
- Stats Note from Week 1: Anna currently has both the lowest modified dice roll (2), and the highest (31). She's also had the lowest initiative (4, tied with Lily), and the highest (13).
Makes for a good summary!

Nice. I'm only so far as them plotting how to get aboard the ship, but I'm liking it already. I love watching the frontal assault approach of Bregor's Boys, but the girls' elaborate plotting is more my style of role play.
Also Summon Trout does have a precedent in Darth & Droids! Summon Bigger Fish

edit. Aw geez, Neal. You gave them the prisoner dilemma on their very first mission.

Character sheets are up on misscliks reddit now, so classes are confirmed:
Elianna = Priest December = Thief Fe = Monk Lilly = Wizard - Air elementalist
Looking forward to episode 2...!

Is there a difference between a Wizard and a Mage in DnD or are they the same thing? How about Cleric/Priest?
|
As far as I know, there's such class as mage or priest, there's wizard and cleric.

See you all tonight for episode 2 at 5:30 PST. I'm so stoked. December is raring to go!
There is a subreddit for the show now, too, if you are into that kind of thing. http://www.reddit.com/r/misscliks/

Oops. Thanks Neal.

Mage and Priest are more like job descriptions (a sorceror can also be a mage and a paladin could concievably work as a priest) but the actual classes are Wizard and Cleric.
