That $100 is moot compared to the functions of online play, social mobility etc. Hell I'd pay 500 for the ps4 over the xbox due to many of their stances on things like DRM and always online. Not to mention the far superior hardware. You may have to, $399 will probably just be the bare bones version, no controllers, no included game, etc all that stuff that. There might be different versions with different hard drive sizes etc... But xbox will do all the same so its a moot point.
All in all, I think microsoft just got bodied.

And Sony showed all of 3 exclusives? Nice cheap price though, so in a year or so when i decide to play FF18 i can pick one up easy Better on Xbox? The PS4 has better graphics and is undoubtedly a more reliable machine (with the XBox consistently being the most error-prone console out there). He means past generation. Which is true, generally speaking multiplatform games had better performance on Xbox 360.
Which had to do with the way PS3 was build with the Cell system. Exclusives for PS3 look alot better than Xbox360's

Trusting Pachter isn't the best idea normally.

Am I missing anything? the Square games are coming to Xbone as well, right?
Pretty much how i feel as well. really only 1 exclusive new IP (The Order) and virtually everything else is multiplatform.
Of those other 2 exclusives, they looked like past generation games pushed to the new one. Im not to worried though, Sony always has good libraries, even if it takes a while.

also everyone noticed that you now how to pay for PS+ for multiplayer, right?

KH is the only positive from all that. Most others are multiplatform. Killzone is just bad.
Going to have to see is PSN is still shitty and how many more people are on XBL comparatively. All these games coming out are mostly MP and persistent worlds, population will be a factor and XBL has always had more people.
Pretty happy with Sony overall, finally.

I'm buying both so... Kinect is an advantage for MS, used games an advantage for PS...thats the bottom line. More similar than dissimilar.

the internals of the ps4 arent too expensive.
the most expensive would be the bd drive, which sony pretty much can mfg for next to nothing. the hard drive, the 8gb gddr5 which no one really has an idea what the cost of that is but most of the cost savings come from the APU, which is cpu+gpu in one chip, saves immensely on mfg yields, and having integrated components instead of separate packages for a classic separate cpu/gpu setup. the cpu is based on amd's budget cpu (which you often find in those cheap ass $300 laptops), and the gpu amd has been mfging for what, two years now.

When have they ever priced the console without the bare essentials to play (controllers/cords/etc.)?

On June 11 2013 12:17 BLinD-RawR wrote: wait so again can someone confirm for me that PS4 has backwards compatibility? It will through Gaikai technology, so you may end up needing to buy the games again. They didnt really specify, just that PS3 games will be available to use on the PS4 (and other sources, as they mentioned tablets too)
