If the silence did expire right at that turn that's like the perfect cinematic epic movie style serendipity... Jexal's intervention if we need an excuse :D
Silence 15' radius on the dragon's face. Dragon is like 60' long head to tail.

Just gonna leave this screen cap here... These expressions are so perfect... (spoilers for those who haven't watched this weeks episode yet) + Show Spoiler +Vincent is dying, Abi missed her shot, Tudagub is panicking trying to find a way to save Vincent from perma death, and the Dragon has taken back to the air... Bregor lines up his shot... + Show Spoiler +

For example, does he now have scars, lost hair or anything like that?

+ Show Spoiler +You can also see Neal has his lips tightly squeezed. I believe Geoff had an even more serious expression before or after this, but I guess it didn't line up with everyone.

Maybe. He got hit with a full acid blast right? Also begs the question as to whether the heals from Tudagub saved him from having scars.
Personally, I would give him scars because they are badass.

These wouldn't be slashing scars that are generally attributed to being a "badass" as shown in movies/shows. These would be much more gruesome scars due to the exposure area and the way the acid would eat away at the skin. It would be more similar to this (NSFW-pictures of lady who had acid thrown on her):

Pretty gruesome stuff.

I think divine healing fixes cosmetic damage as long as the wounds are fresh.

Probably, otherwise characters would look really, really bad after a few fights.

A lot of times crit houserules have rules for scarring.. lets hope this is one of them!
Yeah, sure, a acid scar on the face is uggggly, but it could be on a hand or something, covered by gloves.

He had to roll saving rolls for everything and Vincent doesn't wear a helmet as far as I know so his face would be completely exposed. I wonder if you can lose charisma due to this.

If you have been watching Rollplay, and got an itch to play yourself, either as a DM or as a player, in any system or any setting, please feel free to use this thread. It is a lot easier then it looks, so don't be scared. You don't necessarily need to commit to a long campaign, it is possible to just play a Oneshot adventure to see if Pen and Paper roleplaying is something you like.

If Abby failed the one roll where she needed 15 or higher, would she have been one shot?

Wow that dragon fight was so intense :D
Also I'm so glad Neal is such a damn good DM, I can't imagine how it would be without him. Massive props Neal!

This is really addictive, I went back and started to watch from week one, but it will take me a while to watch all the episodes that I missed.
I am a little worried that my earlier posts in this thread may have been taken as criticism of Neal, which was not intentional. I want to say thanks for producing this content, Neal is an excellent DM, and I am impressed that JP managed to avoid metagaming with preparation for facing a black dragon.
Oh, and the way Abigail reacted to her rodent dying reminded me of a certain ranger and his hamster.
