On top of that it has the Asian "e-sports scene-image" that was already there, to kind of feed off of, adding to the "legitimacy" of the whole thing. The FGC won't catch up to that in just a couple of years, unless Capcom, Namco, Madcatz etc. (Muh CPM :p) start dishing out some serious monies and Japan decides that FGs should be shown on TV regularly. Correct me if I'm wrong lol. Also, let's not forget that "e-sports games" are designed with online play in mind. Anyone that ever got "into" a fighting game will most likely attest to the fact that playing an FG online, isn't exactly the same thing as playing it locally. Big difference there; Even considering the fact that the same can be said about "e-sports games". On top of that FGs are pretty much 1v1 ordeals, no "testing the waters" in team games etc. ![]() Games like SF4 and BlazBlue, for example, seem to try and "crutch" the beginner/online experience with buffer frames and whatnot (which is great, as long as they don't fuck up the new Guilty Gear Kappa), but they'd be better off investing in internet providers ![]() TLDR; ChrisG crying all the time isn't helping things :p

I'm fine with this. | ||

What's that meter that appears next to the combo counter? When it reaches 100 does the combo automatically end or is there something else about it?

These dropkick combos are so hilariously fun to land, and definitely worth the 12 second charge time :D edit: And ya, watched the Cali guys play the KI demo and I have to say, I'm quite intrigued by it. Sucks only Xbox exclusive though.

I was looking around for ways to watch the EVO 2013 stream in HD, and to this day I don't know who (spooky? twitchtv?) will stream it, and if there's a possibility of buying a subscription to catch it in HD. Anyone knows a link or some info to check this?

Yea I'm just now learning/reading his Kotaku thread. Although there's apparently some misinformation there as people like JohnnyCage/LIJoe/Viscant are correcting/confirming some of his statements.
