If the father has got the Hidden Ability, there is a small chance that the offspring will also have their Hidden Ability. However, this only works if you are breeding with a Ditto. This is even more useful considering Hidden Abilities are more easily found via Hordes and Friend Safari. | ||

Exactly. Previously only females could pass down HAs, now males also are able to. However, males are only able to do it when breeding with a Ditto. That's exactly what I said. | ||

So only just started a tiny bit of competitive play, and because pokemon-gl is down, I've just been doing solo 3v3s....and after playing like crap yesterday, I lost my first one this morning, and then won the next 10. Just seems that you need a good opener, and that is 99% of the battle. Almost finished my 2v2 team, will be keen to play that! Just need stupid politoed.. EDIT: Also got a new feel for protean greninja, having things like a ghost move on him to turn into ghost before they try to use an otherwise super effective fighting move on you is great | ||

After that, gts is your friend, and also getting a lot of friend safaris, as many pokemon that aren't in the kalos region can be gotten that way. I know I could probably scour the interwebs for a few more friend safaris to get me more pokemon I need, but not sure how high you can get even with friend safaris. Probably not far beyond 560ish. And there are 454 in the kalos region | ||

Not sure. I stopped filling up my dex after I filled up my boxes with breeding spitbacks + dex fillers. I sure wish they didn't have a 31 box cap. | ||

I got a japanese Rotom on wonder trade and decided to try breeding one, see how long it would take to get a shiny. Well, I just bred a shiny Rotom with 31s in HP and SpA that gets HP Ice, the exact type I need for my team's coverage...after only 30 eggs. All of a sudden I'm not looking forward to the RNG recoil. | ||

Shiny's are easier to get with pokemon from different regions. Try and get a European pokemon and a Japanese one and thats your best chance for shiny's | ||
