Does anyone know a way I can explain to my real life friend that building troops brings in more money than building fields? His defense of fields is that the guide says it's better to build fields. I tried explaining that troops can steal more than fields bring in per hour. I tried explaining that the forum guide was made so the aggressive players have good farms. I tried explaining that all of the top players raid constantly. I tried showing him my village and showing him how much raids bring in per hour compared to how much my fields bring in per hour.

Does anyone know another way I can get through to him or is it a lost cause?

Maybe he doesnt want to spend the time. I have pretty much stopped raiding now when I have 2 villages.

Each infantry uses 1 crop an hour. Cavalry takes 2 or 3 crop an hour. When your crop usage > crop production, you have a negative crop production... so basically I have a huge raiding income.

And somebody raided you? Who was it? Msg him and tell him that if he doesn't return the resources he stole he will get cata'd to death (I can start building catas sometimes today, I think ROM and Ascelon already has them).

i have a small issue.
i didnt know upgrading to TTs would cost me an arm and a leg.
ive only got 4 phalanx atm, and i have to go to work, and i know ill get raided. bye bye phalanx.
im never going to get TTs without starting to raid myself, but ill never get to cause my phalanx'll be dead

anyone willing to house my whole 4 phalanx for eight hours? ;\
or, reinforce my village for eight hours? i have 19 crop/hour to spare

er PS. ive been attacked, at once, by 4 EIs and 6 Praes and 6 legs
and at another time, 30 legs.

so i dont want any of your guys dying so whichever works out.

yea just send your phalanx to allies (reinforce) till you have 13.
once you have 13, you can just constantly raid with them.

(i recommend 39 phalanx before teching to TT's)
