1. Stanford 2. Notre Dame 3. Florida 4. Alabama 5. Texas 6. Ohio State 7. South Carolina 8. Georgia 9. Louisiana Tech 10. LSU 11. Oregon 12. Kansas State 13. Iowa State 14. Texas Tech 15. Louisville 16. Ohio 17. Mississippi State 18. West Virginia 19. Florida State 20. Northwestern 21. Rutgers 22. Minnesota 23. Michigan State 24. UCLA 25. TCU
Note: I did not consider Oregon State because they've only played two games so far. If they win next week, though, I will probably rank them very high (perhaps #1).
Florida State is ranked much too high in mainstream polls. Also, I frequently hear that Ohio has the best chance of being this year's BCS buster, and they may run the table, but keep your eyes on Louisiana Tech.

Stanford had the best resume after 4 games, but blew it. I like to think my rankings provide a highly plausible alternative to the AP and coaches polls, but my top 11 is quite orthodox in that it has all the teams ranked highly in the mainstream polls except for FSU.

I'm just glad we have survived for another week. Losing to USF in 2009 damaged FSUs psyche as much as any other loss from the 2000s. We needed this win even if it didn't look very impressive.

Couldn't be any less impressive than LSU's defensive showing last night, got that was awful. I wish Towson had won that game, considering it looked like they could have if they stopped LSU's offense.
The only thing we know for sure is that Alabama lost the lead for all about 15 seconds, and that both Bama and Oregon are the only teams to deserve to be in the top 5 at the moment.

The LSU defense didn't look very impressive but LSU being bad in offense is the norm. Plus we didn't get to see a good old Les Miles gamble this season which will happen next week in Florida.
Well we can see what LSU is really worth this week @Florida. And next week against SCarolina. And the next week against Texas A&M. Also especially the week after that against Alabama. Plus even then they still have Mississippi State and Ole Miss to deal with.
